As uranium prices edge toward US$100/lb, from less than US$40/lb in 2022 ASX uranium plays top the list of winning companies with announcements today.

Small explorer Terra Uranium (ASX:T92) has announced it will pick up ground in Canada in the famous Athabasca Basin, staking two claims called Rapid River. All up, T92 now has a total of 1108sqkm to play with across four projects.

Former lithium explorer White Cliff Minerals (ASX:WCN) today also announced plans to acquire a historical uranium project in the Northwest Territories of Canada called Radium Point.

Global Uranium and Enrichment (ASX:GUE) has successfully offloaded its 80% stake in a lithium project called Maggie Hays Hill for $2.1m in cash and shares to Intra Energy (ASX:IEC) , which was flat on the news.

Southern Hemisphere’s (ASX:SUH) is on a beeline towards increasing resources at its flagship Llahuin copper-gold project with promising assays from its 2023/24 drill program.

QEM (ASX:QEM) has signed a binding agreement to sell its Julia Creek renewables project to Enel Green Power Australia, a move that increases the likelihood of its development.

Miramar Resources (ASX:M2R) has started a fixed-loop electromagnetic survey at its Mount Vernon nickel-copper-PGE project in WA’s Gascoyne region to refine targets for future drill testing.

Former Fortescue senior executive and long-time Andrew Forrest associate Felicity Gooding is joining Vulcan Energy Resources (ASX: VUL) to spearhead the company’s financing strategy for the phased development of the world’s first zero carbon lithium operation in Germany’s Upper Rhine Valley.

European Lithium (ASX: EUR) and Obeikan Group are a step closer to developing a lithium hydroxide processing plant in Saudi Arabia which is now expected to be twice as big as originally planned. Planned capacity has been increased from 10,000tpa to 20,000tpa with the JV and shareholder agreement set to be incorporated before the end of the current March quarter.

Corella Resources (ASX: CR9) has uncovered two distinct styles of rare earth mineralisation at its Tampu project in Western Australia’s Yilgarn region, right next door to where Rio Tinto and IGO have recently pegged exploration licences.

Power Minerals (ASX:PNN) has kicked off the next phase of exploration at its Salta lithium brine project in Argentina, with two bore holes to provide pump testing at the Incahuasi salar for well-field design and data sufficient to provide a mineral reserve.

Soil and rock chip sampling by NickelSearch (ASX:NIS) has identified significant lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) anomalies close to the quarry area at its Carlingup project near Ravensthorpe, WA.

Azure Minerals (ASX: AZS) has extended and confirmed major lithium mineralisation .7km-long at the Target Area 3 prospect, part of its ever-growing Andover project in WA’s Pilbara.

Charger Metals (ASX:CHR) has kicked off diamond drilling to test for depth extensions of lithium mineralisation intersected by previous reverse circulation drilling at the Medcalf spodumene prospect within its Lake Johnston project in WA’s Yilgarn province.
