130 year-old drilling company Boart Longyear (ASX:BLY) will be taken private by a US company via court approved plan of arrangement with a cash deal that values each share at US$1.9554 – a 96% premium to the 30-day volume-weighted average price.

Aldoro Resources (ASX:ARN) says it has picked up rock chips grading up to 9% niobium at the Kameelburg project.

EV Resources (ASX:EVR) has the green light to drill its high grade Parag copper-molybdenum project (EVR: 70%) in Peru.

Retinal diseases focused biotech, Opthea (ASX:OPT), says it will receive the remaining US$35m funding under the Development Funding Agreement (DFA) with global investment firm Carlyle and its life science franchise, Abingworth – plus a further US$50m financing under an Amended DFA to include a new co-investor. 

And Indiana Resources (ASX:IDA) has welcomed the Tanzanian Government’s confirmation they will pay US$118m compensation (which doesn’t include interest which continues to accrue at the rate of US$1 million per month) within 45 days of final decision on annulment for Nkata nickel project.

Power Minerals (ASX:PNN) has executed a binding terms sheet for the Incahuasi salar JV – within its Salta lithium project  in Argentina – with direct lithium extraction partner Summit Nanotech.

Greenvale Energy (ASX:GRV) says the ongoing liquefaction test program for its Alpha torbanite project in QLD has provided an initial indication of bituminous product potential from the bulk samples. The test program is expected to be completed in early 2024.

St George Mining (ASX:SGQ) says assays are pending for soil and rock chip sampling at its Mt Alexander lithium project with results to inform 2024 drilling, plus the company is gearing up for drilling at its Destiny REE and lithium project in January.

And Antilles Gold (ASX:AAU) has wrapped up drilling at its Nueva Sabana gold-copper mine in Cubra with a resource estimate expected to be released by the end of January – followed by a scoping study.
