Iltani Resources defined 900m long high-grade zone at Orient silver-indium project
RC drilling returned results up to 334 g/t silver equivalent
High-grade zone shows potential for both open pit and underground mining

Special Report: Iltani Resources has defined a 900m long high-grade silver-indium zone during drilling at Orient West, part of its Orient project in Queensland.

Final assay results from a recent reverse circulation program have confirmed the strike and dip continuity of high-grade silver-indium vein systems and further intersects of outstanding high-grade mineralisation, including:

29m at 64 g/t silver equivalent from 73m, including 5m at 103 g/t AgEq from 79m and 5m at 111 g/t Ag Eq. from 94m (ORRO32)
33m at 65 g/t AgEq from 13m including 11m at 132 g/t AgEq from 13m and 3m at 298 g/t AgEq from 18m (ORR033)
25m at 115 g/t AgEq from 99m including 7m at 275 g/t AgEq from 100m inc. 2m at 693 g/t Ag Eq. from 100m including 1m at 706 g/t AgEq (47.7 g/t Ag, >500 g/t In, 0.24% Pb and 8.27% Zn) from 101m (ORR033); and
24m at 84 g/t AgEq from 122m including 11m at153 g/t AgEq from 125m and 5m at 207 g/t AgEq from 125m (ORR034).

The high-grade core of the Orient West vein system now has a strike extent of 900m and is open down dip. Importantly, it contains mineralisation that would be amenable to open-pit mining and with the grade and thickness to support underground mining.

Exploration target in the works

Iltani Resources (ASX:ILT) MD Donald Garner said the latest RC drilling has “delivered beyond our expectations”, successfully extending Orient West mineralisation by 500m to the north-east and 320m to the south-west and returning multiple high-grade intercepts.

“Orient West now has a drill tested strike extent of 1550m and remains open to the NE and SW, and down dip,” he said.

“To say this is a fantastic outcome for Iltani is an understatement.

“We have now passed the drilling data onto Mining One to enable an estimation of the Orient West exploration target, which we will announce when completed.

“We look forward to the next phases of drilling – as we advance Orient West towards an initial mineral resource and deliver an exploration target estimation for Orient East.”

The next round of drilling at the project will include an infill program to support an initial mineral resource estimate.

The company will also test the northeast extension of Orient West vein system (600m strike length), commence drilling at Orient East to advance the prospect towards an exploration target as well as testing priority geophysical targets.
