Animoca Brands’ subsidiary SPORTPASS to provide QPR with immersive digital gaming and fan experiences
Animoca Brands strengthens ties with video game developer Param Labs
Animoca Brands has also forged a partnership with Blockpass, the leading provider of compliant identity verification solutions
Special Report: Animoca Brands has inked three deals, the first being with English football side Queens Park Rangers FC (QPR) and now video game developer Param Labs and Web3 identity solutions provider Blockpass.
SPORTPASS is Animoca Brands next-gen fan engagement and gaming subsidiary to empower sporting entities in delivering gaming, rewards and competition experiences to their fans.
The new portal launched this week currently offers 200 handcrafted 1-of-1 unique turf collectables from QPR’s Loftus Road Stadium in London that celebrate moments from the 2013-2023 seasons with a digital player memory card.
QPR’s dedication to digital innovation led to the collab with SPORTPASS to enhance the fan experience for supporters, says its commercial director Euan Inglis.
“We are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Web3 pioneers SPORTPASS and Animoca Brands to launch our gamification offerings,” Inglis says.
“Leveraging the digital ecosystem is vital for broadening the QPR brand and introducing fresh avenues for fans to connect with the club.
“This partnership signifies a significant stride forward in diversifying our array of digital experiences, providing fans with innovative ways to engage with QPR.”
SPORTPASS chief executive Jordan Fogarty says the deal is testament to its dedication to push the boundaries of fan engagement.
“By bringing together the passion of football with the innovation of our platform, we aim to deliver a truly immersive experience for QPR fans,” Fogarty says.
“We look forward to redefining the sports entertainment landscape together.”
Param Labs ties strengthen
Animoca Brands has strengthened its strategic investment into Param Labs to accelerate the development of its scalable Web3 infrastructure and expand its ecosystem, which boasts over 50 IP partnerships with brands such as GameStop, Pudgy Penguins, Mocaverse and more.
As part of the partnership, esports-focused Param Labs is also introducing its ‘Pixel To Poly’ platform to selected Animoca Brands’ projects, enabling the transformation of 2D art into 3D game-ready assets.
Animoca Brands says the service aims to revolutionise game asset creation by using AI to streamline the transition to advanced design dimensions and the partnership will strengthen Param’s go-to-market strategy with the launch of Web3 products.
“We’re excited to invest in and partner with Param Labs to drive Web3 development in MENA and advance the cause of digital property rights in the open metaverse,” Animoca Brands co-founder and executive chairman Yat Siu says.
“Both Animoca Brands and Param Labs share a vision to redefine the gaming landscape and the open metaverse by leveraging the power of shared network effects.”
