BPM’s 10,000m drilling campaign at Claw is 60% complete
Claw is along strike of Capricorn Metals’ 3.24Moz Mt Gibson mine
Assays due in late March with a follow-up RC drill campaign is on the cards

Special Report: BPM Minerals is about 60% through a 10,000m drill program at its highly prospective Claw gold project, adjacent to the 3.24Moz Mt Gibson gold mine.

Gold explorer BPM Minerals (ASX:BPM) is accelerating exploration at its 134km2 Claw project, where Capricorn Metals (ASX:CMM) has crept towards the boundary to within 500m of the project.

The Louie prospect is on the tenement boundary along strike from Capricorn’s high-grade 16m @ 17.16g/t gold discovery at Sundance, part of its Mt Gibson tenure in WA’s Murchison region.

Drilling near completion

Drilling of 43 aircore holes for 2,366m has been completed at the Louie prospect, with samples submitted to ALS labs in Perth.

The rest of the campaign is ongoing with the drill bit spinning for 4,500m at the Chickie prospect and other regional targets.

Current drilling activities are expected to wrap up in mid-March.

Two regional prospects further south in the project area have been identified with the assistance of Dr Barry Murphy, utilising automated edge detection “worming” to highlight gradients within the geophysical data.

A follow-up RC campaign is anticipated to get under way once assay results are in from the maiden drillingprogram.

BPM chief executive Oliver Judd is thrilled with the progress of the company’s drilling program at Claw, about 280km north-east of Perth.

“Situated along strike from Capricorn Metals’ Mt Gibson gold project, the significance of our location cannot be overstated,” Judd says.

“We have the first batch of samples from Louie at the laboratory and will have these results in a months’ time.

“We are excited to unlock new opportunities and advance towards uncovering substantial gold deposits in this highly prospective region.”
