Vehicle to be leased for an initial 12-month trial with the option for a four-year extension

Special Report: Pure Hydrogen has executed a term sheet to supply a rear-loading hydrogen fuel cell-powered (HFC) waste collection vehicle to the City of Newcastle, NSW.
The term sheet highlights the ongoing momentum of the Company’s stated strategy to expand the sales pipeline of its HFC vehicle offerings.
Pure Hydrogen (ASX:PH2) had previously executed an additional sales agreement with Australian waste management company Solo Resource Recovery for a rear-loading HFC waste collection truck that will be deployed in Adelaide.
That vehicle is expected to be deployed in the second half of this calendar year and will be one of three demonstration waste collection trucks.
Solo is also taking delivery of two garbage trucks with one – a side loader – to be deployed in northern NSW while the other will be deployed by the City of West Torrens council in Adelaide.
Potential sales could also come from JJ’s Waste and Recycling where the HFC waste removal truck passed all tests with final approval pending from the federal government before it goes into service.

Fifth vehicle order
PH2’s latest term sheet agreement sets out a framework for the City of Newcastle to lease the vehicle and carry out a 12 month trial with the option of a four-year extension.
Notably for PH2, the lease arrangement marks the fifth vehicle order for HFC waste collection vehicles that it is supplying to the Australian market.
It also adds to the growing pipeline of sales contracts and vehicle trials for the company’s market-leading suite of hydrogen vehicles for both domestic and international customers.
The waste collection vehicle will be supplied by Pure Hydrogen subsidiary Hdrive International, with the body of the vehicle to be supplied and fitted by the Australian division of global equipment provider Bucher Municipal.

It will run on green hydrogen produced by renewable energy-powered electrolysers that crack water into oxygen and hydrogen.
