The ASX had another positive day but, unlike yesterday, held momentum to close at an all time high.
The ASX 200 closed at 7,511 points which was an 0.11% gain although the ASX Emerging Companies Index fell 0.63% to 2,226 points.
The top sectors were property trusts and consumer discretionary goods which rose 1.05% and 0.84%. The worst sectors were energy and resources which fell 1.22% and 1.3% respectively.
The ASX finished below other markets in Asia although still above Wall Street, which closed mostly lower overnight.

Lithium Energy (ASX:LEL) announced the environmental impact assessment (EIA) for its Solaroz project in Argentina was entering the final stages of evaluation.
Telco Swoop (ASX:SWP) secured a $5 million contract with Orro Group to provide NBN Enterprise Ethernet services across WA.
And payments platform Iodm (ASX:IOD) announcing a new revenue opportunity in the UK.

Gold producer Resolute (ASX:RSG) sealed a deal to sell its Bibiani Gold Mine to Asante Gold Corporation. It will receive a total of US$90 million in compensation over the next 12 months and will apply the initial proceeds to repay debt.
Digital landing platform Plenti (ASX:PLT) issued its inaugural $306.3m of initial asset backed security (ABS), pricing it at a weighted average 97bp above the one month BBSW. Around 87.8% of the notes are expected to be rated Aaa by Moody’s.
Valor Resources (ASX:VAL) identified several new targets for drilling at its Hook Lake uranium Project. These came from a radiometric survey the company conducted at the end of the last month.
Microcap medical device company dorsaVi (ASX:DVL) extended its contract with medtech giant Medtronic for a further 5 months, worth an additional ~US$171k to the US$330k signed in the original agreement in March. The work will involve analysis of data on patients wearing dorsaVi medical grade wearable sensors.
Independent Investment Research reckons junior gold and nickel explorer Moho Resources’ (ASX:MOH) plans to develop the East Simpson Dam gold deposit as a toll treating operation is key for funding ongoing activities at Silver Swan North. The Silver Swan North deposit is just 50km NE of Kalgoorlie, and within trucking distance of several mills.
SaaS company Technology One (ASX:TNE), which has been fighting a lawsuit by a former employee accusing the company if firing him when he made a bullying complaint, said the Federal Court’s original judgement against TNE has been overturned. The case will now proceed to a new trial.
