White Cliff confirms strike and depth extensions at Reedy’s South gold deposit
Results from RC drilling include 79m at 1g/t gold
Current inferred resource estimate is 42,400 ounces of gold
Deeper drilling under consideration
Special Report: White Cliff Minerals has confirmed a large system at its Reedy’s South gold project in Western Australia.
The recent RC drilling program at the Pegasus prospect has demonstrated extensive strike and depth-extensions, with results including:
7m at 1.12 g/t Au from 92m;
79m at 1g/t Au from 10m;
11m at 0.53 g/t Au from 209m; and
5m at 0.45 g/t Au from 14m.
Drilling confirms continuity of mineralisation along strike and at depth.
White Cliff Minerals (ASX:WCN) says these results are very encouraging, confirming continuity of the mineralised system in all directions and importantly underneath the existing higher-grade resource.
Growing system in the middle of established goldfields
Notably, Reedy’s sits within trucking distance of multiple existing operating gold plants.
It also covers 272sq km immediately south of Westgold Resources’ (ASX:WGX) Triton-South Emu Mine, with Reedy’s style and controls on mineralisation within the mining lease very similar to Triton-South Emu.
“The drill program which was designed to test depth and strike extensions to the known mineralisation at Reedy’s has surprised us in terms of the scale of the newly identified structures which appear to be increasing in size in and around the existing resource and extend laterally for several hundred metres to the north and south,” White Cliff managing director Troy Whittaker said.
“Whilst the campaign was designed predominantly as an exploration program to expand our understanding of the Reedy’s shear zone and associated mineralisation, Hole 6 for example (79m at 1g/t) is extraordinary as it demonstrates the system is growing and continuing at depth.
“We will now review this new information in detail and determine what next steps can be taken including deeper drilling to optimize value for our shareholders.”
