Koba Resources starts inaugural exploration at the Harrier uranium project
Three week field work program includes mapping and sampling over multiple high-priority targets

Special Report: Inaugural exploration has started at Koba Resources’ high-grade Harrier uranium project in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, to test high-priority targets.
Harrier sits within a world-class, yet heavily underexplored uranium district that hosts numerous deposits including Paladin Energy’s (ASX:PDN) Michelin deposit, which has a resource of 127.7Mlbs U3O8.
Since acquiring the project in April this year, Koba Resources (ASX:KOB) has quickly extended the project landholding to 489km2 after securing adjacent mining claims.
Harrier itself features historical exploration that has proven that high-grade uranium mineralisation is widespread across the project with rock chip sampling returning +1% U3O8 from nine different prospects, three of which have never been drilled.
Top samples are 5.83% U3O8 at the Moran Heights prospect, 5.08% U3O8 at Fish Hawk North and 4.86% U3O8 at Brook, significantly higher than the typical mined uranium grade of 0.2% U3O8 found globally.

Field program underway
KOB has now mobilised a team of geologists and prospectors to carry out an initial three-week field program of mapping and sampling over multiple high-priority targets.
This will seek to better rank and prioritise these prospects and advance them towards drilling.
“Koba is very pleased to get exploration underway at our high-grade Harrier uranium project in eastern Canada. We have abundant targets with high-grade potential across the Project area, where no exploration has been undertaken in more than ten years,” managing director Ben Vallerine said.
“With rock chip assays exceeding 1% U3O8 from nine different prospects, including assays up to 5.83% U3O8, there is enormous potential to discover large, high-grade uranium deposits within the Harrier Project.
“This project is located only 50km west of one of the largest uranium resources in North America – the 127.7Mlb Michelin Deposit. So with high grades and large deposits, this area is exceptionally prospective.
“With drilling to commence at our Yarramba Uranium Project in South Australia later this month, we have a busy, but very exciting couple of months ahead. Results from our exploration programs will start coming through during July.”
