PharmAust (ASX:PAA) has received approval from Monash Health Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) to push ahead with an open-label extension (OLE) study for monepantel (MPL) in patients with Motor Neurone Disease (MND)/Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem in Melbourne.

Koba Resources (ASX:KOB) has expanded its recently acquired Yarramba uranium project in South Australia following the grant of two new tenements covering 1,085km2, just 17km north of the Honeymoon uranium mine – where production recently resumed from resources totalling 71.6Mlb @ 620ppm U3O8.

Riversgold (ASX:RGL) is adding another two tenements to its uranium portfolio in Western Australia – Onslow South and Menzies East – as yellowcake prices soar to new heights of +US$100/lb and coinciding with the biggest lift in uranium contracting by nuclear plants in years since the Fukushima incident in 2011.

GCX Metals (ASX:GCX) has identified a 10km-long x 2km-wide lithium anomaly at its 800km2 Southern Cross project in Western Australia, along trend of greenstone belts to the north and south that include Covalent Lithium’s giant Mt Holland lithium operation (186Mt @ 1.53% Li2O) and Zenith Minerals’ (ASX:ZNC) Split Rocks project (11.9Mt @ 0.72% Li2O).

Future Battery Minerals (ASX:FBM) has further outlined the prospectivity of its Kangaroo Hills project in WA’s Goldfields region, just 17km south of Coolgardie and 30km from Mineral Resources’ (ASX:MIN) Mt Marion lithium mine.

First Lithium’s (ASX: FL1) ongoing pegmatite exploration and drilling expansion at the Blakala prospect in the Gouana permit in Mali is continuing to shape the site’s Tier 1 lithium potential, as the company plans to expand its search at the site, amid the completion of a further 14 diamond drill holes and seven RC pre-collar holes finished by diamond drilling tails.

American West Metals (ASX:AW1) has released its long-anticipated maiden resource estimate (MRE) for the Storm copper-silver project at Somerset Island, Nunavut, Canada, covering four prospects and weighing in at 17.5Mt @ 1.2% copper and 3.4g/t silver (0.35% copper cut-off) for 205,000t of contained copper and 1.9Moz of silver.

Lycaon Resources (ASX:LYN) says its near term focus has turned towards completing heritage surveys ahead of a maiden drilling program in the next few months at the company’s  Stansmore project in WA’s West Arunta region – one of the last frontiers for major critical mineral and copper-gold (IOCG) discoveries in Australia.

Juno Minerals (ASX:JNO) has re-engaged with past tenderers to provide updated pricing as it positions itself – pending favourable market conditions – to make the most of its near-term Mount Mason hematite project in Western Australia, which the company says is fully permitted for development with export capability at nearby Esperance Port.

Alvo Minerals (ASX:ALV) is expanding its rare earths reach in Brazil with the acquisition of the Ipora project in Goias state, adding to its recent purchase of the Bluebush REE project, which is adjacent to the massive 911Mt @ 1,200ppm TREO Serra Verde ionic deposit.

New World Resources’ (ASX:NWC) plans to develop and mine the high-grade grade Antler copper project in northern Arizona are underway, after the company lodged approvals to develop the project in northern Arizona, an area that is home to one of the highest-grade copper deposits in the world with a 11.4Mt @ 4% copper equivalent resource.

Andrew Grove has joined Aura Energy (ASX:AEE) as its new MD and CEO to bring a plethora of experience developing projects in Africa to help drive development of the company’s Tiris and Häggån uranium projects, following the recent departure of David Woodall.
