Avira Resources (ASX:AVW) has re-commenced Phase 2 diamond drilling at its Puolalaki nickel-copper-cobalt-gold project in Sweden after a short pause over the Christmas and New Year break.
Widgie Nickel (ASX:WIN) has updated the total resource for the Gillett nickel deposit in WA to 3.14Mt at 1.30% nickel for 40,770 nickel tonnes – a nice 75% increase in total contained nickel versus the 2023 mineral resource estimate.
Si6 Metals (ASX:SI6) has shareholder approval to buy a 50% interest in 10 rare earths and lithium exploration licenses covering ~17,000 hectares in Brazil.
CGN Resources (ASX:CGR) says the first phase of its 2024 exploration programs have been contracted, including gravity and induced polarisation surveys over Surus, Tantor, Snorky and Horton, and an electromagnetic survey over the Shep target at its Webb copper, nickel and critical metals project in WA.
And Medallion Metals (ASX:MM8) has increased the ore reserve estimate at its Ravensthorpe gold project to 610koz gold and 24kt copper – up from 270koz gold.

Firetail Resources (ASX:FTL) says maiden diamond drilling at its Picha copper project in Peru has returned evidence of a porphyry system – a type of low grade, high tonnage easy-to-mine deposit typically responsible for ~60% of the world’s copper, most of its molybdenum, and significant amounts of gold and silver.
Krakatoa Resources (ASX:KTA) has restarted phase 2 exploration drilling at its King Tamba lithium project in WA.
Galan Lithium (ASX:GLN) is progressing construction at its Hombre Muerto West Phase 1 lithium brine project in Argentina, with pond 1 earthworks almost complete and the installation on the ponds liner underway.
