Special Report: A crucial piece of Raiden Resources discovery puzzle is complete, with  the final heritage report confirming key lithium targets at Andover South are clear of any culturally sensitive areas.

Raiden Resources’ (ASX:RDN) flagship Andover North-South project in WA’s Pilbara region features mapped hig-grade pegmatite swarms adjacent to one of the most important hard rock Li2O discoveries in the world, Andover.

Initially discovered by Azure Minerals – now acquired by JV Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile S.A (SQM) and Hancock Prospecting – the Andover project stunned investors as the explorer continued to flag multiple +100m wide zones at +1.3% Li2O.

Those grades and thicknesses are a feat very few other lithium companies have achieved to date.

It lit a spark under neighbouring explorers including RDN, which fast became a market darling when it acquired lithium-rich tenements directly to the north and south of the Andover project.

Heritage survey for Andover South paves way for drilling

RDN conducted a heritage survey at the Andover South project in March, over priority lithium-bearing pegmatites with the Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation (NAC).

Now, with the final heritage report received, management is undertaking discussions with drilling contractors, with the objective of beginning the drilling program as soon as the regulatory conditions for drilling have been approved.

No changes from the preliminary heritage survey report have been flagged, with the report confirming that no areas of cultural significance will hinder the planned drill program of known lithium-bearing pegmatite mineralisation on Andover South.

Maiden diamond and RC drilling program in the works

“With the final report received for the Andover South project, management are actively engaging with drilling contractors for a maiden diamond and RC drill program,” RDN managing director Dusko Ljubojevic says.

“We are also planning an air core drilling program to test for further potential pegmatite hosted mineralisation on tenements where potential pegmatite hosted mineralisation may exist under shallow sediment cover.

“The extent of the air core drilling program will be finalised on receipt of the final heritage report for the Andover North project.”
