Adavale Resources to start uranium exploration on its Mundowdna and Mundowdna South licences
Exploration program includes gravity and gamma spectrometer surveying, soil and rock chip sampling
Assay results expected in 4 to 6 weeks, providing critical data for future drilling
Special Report: Adavale Resources is poised to launch maiden uranium exploration at its Mundowdna and Mundowdna South licences in South Australia, which will leverage historical geophysical data to identify potential paleochannels rich in uranium deposits.
The company had obtained the historical airborne electromagnetic survey data over the two licences which are interpreted to host an extensive series of covered paleochannels, which are a potential sign of significant uranium mineralisation.
This dataset, which was obtained from the South Australian Resources Information Gateway (SARIG) data portal, complements the data already in Adavale Resources’ (ASX:ADD) hands as it was flown low to the ground and has a whopping 400,000 data points.
ADD noted that the extensive EM dataset provided a significant time and cost saving by confirming that there is a significant paleochannel system within its licence package.

Uranium exploration
The uranium exploration program will kick off with a comprehensive array of surveys and sampling techniques, including gravity surveying, soil sampling, gamma spectrometer surveying, and rock chip sampling.
This is aimed at uncovering buried paleochannel systems and detecting uranium mineralisation.
Initial work will be conducted along existing station tracks to minimise environmental impact.
“It is very pleasing and exciting to see our maiden Mundowdna exploration program come to fruition. It has been designed to be cost effective and quickly test the strong uranium potential of the area recognised by the company following the acquisition and reprocessing of historical dataset covering the region,” executive director David Riekie said.
“The main workstreams of the program will be conducted concurrently over a three to four week period along the same transects with the gravity and gamma spectrometer data, correlated and interpreted in advance of the soil survey assay results, which are expected approximately four weeks later.”
This three-layered dataset will help the company identify and direct ongoing exploration to the most prospective areas within its Mundowdna acreage.
Meanwhile, due diligence reviews and discussions to acquire additional ground from Kilonova have progressed well with the company expecting formal acceptance of the deal to come soon.
Next steps
Following the completion of the exploration program, ADD will focus on collating and interpreting the data obtained from gravity, soil, and spectrometer surveys.
Correlating anomalies will be identified and ranked on their potential to be uranium occurrences.
The company will then start the process to secure clearances for targeted drilling across multiple areas.
