What is the biggest growth market for graphite? Why are there so few graphic mines outside of China? And are there geopolitical factors and regulatory changes affecting global graphite production and trade?
Lithium Energy (ASX:LEL) general manager Graham Fyfe joins the Stockhead TV studio to investigate these questions and more.
“There’s a long history with graphite in the world,” Fyfe explained. “The biggest driver now is the development of the rechargeable lithium ion and sodium ion batteries.”
“In the past synthetic graphite was used, but with the cost of synthetic going up and the carbon footprints in the modern world don’t really suit, natural graphic has come more to the forefront,” he said.
Stockhead’s Ashtyn Hiron sits down with Fyfe to learn more about the graphite market and where it’s headed.
