{"id":995,"date":"2023-11-06T00:31:48","date_gmt":"2023-11-06T00:31:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=995"},"modified":"2023-11-06T00:31:48","modified_gmt":"2023-11-06T00:31:48","slug":"take-off-metal-hawk-is-cleared-to-drill-into-1km-long-pegmatites-at-yarmany","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=995","title":{"rendered":"Take-Off: Metal Hawk is cleared to drill into 1km long pegmatites at Yarmany"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Heritage clearance survey completed at Yarmany<br \/>\nDrill contractors confirmed<br \/>\nMaiden drill campaign set to commence imminently<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>After obtaining key heritage approvals, drilling is about to commence at Metal Hawk\u2019s priority one F-camp prospect at Yarmany in the WA Goldfields, where exploration has mapped out a 1km-long pegmatite body with grades of up to 1,268ppm Li2O.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since acquiring the project from Horizon Minerals in July, <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/metal-hawk-mhk\/\"><strong>Metal Hawk (ASX:MHK)<\/strong><\/a> has generated a number of quality lithium and nickel targets.<\/p>\n<p>The 282km2 Yarmany tenure is along the Ida fault \u2013 a major regional structure between the Kalgoorlie and Youanmi Terranes and now considered an emerging world-class lithium province.<\/p>\n<p>This same structure hosts major Goldfields lithium deposits such as <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/liontown-resources-ltr\/\"><strong>Liontown Resources\u2019 (ASX:LTR)<\/strong><\/a> 156Mt @ 1.4% Li2O Kathleen Valley and <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/delta-lithium-dli\/\"><strong>Delta Lithium\u2019s (ASX:DLI)<\/strong><\/a> 12.7Mt @ 1.2% Li2O Mt Ida.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s nickel prospectivity at Yarmany too. At the nearby Reptile Dam prospect, up to 0.64% Ni and 1,402ppm Cu <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/so-many-strong-anomalies-metal-hawk-uncovers-11-nickel-targets-at-yarmany-for-future-drilling\/\"><strong>was recently discovered<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Heritage assessment clears pathway for drilling<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A heritage clearance survey has been completed with the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Native Title claimants over Yarmany, paving the way for a maiden drilling campaign at the highly prospective F-camp prospect at the northern end of the terrane.<\/p>\n<p>Recent mapping has outlined a large 1km-long and up to 140m-wide lithium pegmatite target at F-camp, with elevated pathfinder geochemistry that includes caesium, tantalum, rubidium and beryllium.<\/p>\n<p>MHK says AC drilling will be conducted to define pegmatite geometry and establish the depth of weathering, followed up by deeper RC drilling.<\/p>\n<p>A drilling contractor has been secured and drilling activities are due to commence as soon as site preparations are complete.<\/p>\n<p>The F-camp pegmatite system.
