{"id":9768,"date":"2024-05-16T05:30:48","date_gmt":"2024-05-16T05:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=9768"},"modified":"2024-05-16T05:30:48","modified_gmt":"2024-05-16T05:30:48","slug":"claim-to-fame-felix-expands-gold-footprint-in-fairbanks-elephant-country","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=9768","title":{"rendered":"Claim to Fame: Felix expands gold footprint in Fairbanks elephant country"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Felix Gold has boosted its landholding in the Fairbanks gold mining district, home to 8Moz Fort Knox mine<br \/>\nAcquisition of new claims expands potential for NW Array gold trend, where a maiden resource is pending<br \/>\nExecutive Director Joe Webb will hold an online investor briefing on May 17<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Felix Gold will acquire new mining claims that promise to enhance the scale potential of its NW Array prospect \u2013 a flat-lying, surface oxide gold system \u2013 in Alaska <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wedged between Alaska\u2019s biggest ever gold miner Kinross Gold\u2019s 11.8Moz Fort Knox mine (19km away) and Freegold Ventures\u2019 19.7Moz Golden Summit (18km away), the prospect is part of the company\u2019s broader Treasure Creek project, which contains several \u2013 potentially major \u2013 gold systems.<\/p>\n<p>Right now, <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/felix-gold-fxg\/\"><strong>Felix Gold (ASX:FXG)<\/strong><\/a> is focused on the NW Array prospect where it is about to release a maiden resource based off an identified open-at-surface 2km by 600m oxide gold system.<\/p>\n<p>The newly secured claims announced today are contiguous with NW Array, and there\u2019s evidence the gold trend runs straight into this new ground, says FXG.<\/p>\n<p>Trenching by BHP-Utah in the 1980s returned 121.92m at 0.78g\/t gold, ~200m along strike from high-grade mineralisation intersected in 2023 drilling by FXG.<\/p>\n<p>Subsequent shallow air-track drilling by Silverado also returned promising hits, like 12.19m at 1.67g\/t, from surface.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Caption: Historical gold results provide compelling evidence for continuation of NW Array mineralisation into new mining claims.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>JORC resource imminent<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>FXG is poised to reveal a maiden JORC resource for NW Array in the coming month.
