{"id":9692,"date":"2024-05-15T05:39:52","date_gmt":"2024-05-15T05:39:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=9692"},"modified":"2024-05-15T05:39:52","modified_gmt":"2024-05-15T05:39:52","slug":"besra-is-one-step-closer-to-constructing-its-jugan-pilot-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=9692","title":{"rendered":"Besra is one step closer to constructing its Jugan pilot plant"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Land access for the construction of Besra Gold\u2019s Jugan pilot plant received<br \/>\nPilot plant crucial to deliver metallurgical results for Bau gold field feasibility studies<br \/>\nBesra has an up to US$300m gold purchase agreement with Quantum <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report<\/em><\/strong><strong>: Construction of Besra Gold\u2019s Jugan pilot plant \u2014 crucial to development of this ~960koz Resource gold field in Malaysia \u2013 are a step closer after vital land access approval was received for an associated tailings dam.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Jugan pilot plant is part of <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/besra-gold-bez\/\">Besra Gold\u2019s (ASX:BEZ)<\/a> flagship Bau Corridor gold project, which has additional exploration target ranging from 4.9Moz to 9.3Moz.<\/p>\n<p>The company inked a <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/christmas-comes-early-for-besra-with-first-gold-concentrate-produced-at-its-flagship-bau-project\/\">transformational US$300m funding facility and gold purchase agreement<\/a> from its number one shareholder Quantum Metal Recovery in June last year.<\/p>\n<p>This cash \u2013 to be paid over 30 months against future production ounces \u2014 would (if all instalments are received) cover development of Bau in Malaysia\u2019s Sarawak region.<\/p>\n<p>With US$25,646,326 already received, BEZ\u2019 main game in 2024 is commissioning of the pilot plant and updating the 2013 Bau feasibility study.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>No more delays for Jugan pilot plant<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Besra Gold has received vital long-term access to an essential piece of land required for its Jugan pilot plant\u2019s tailings dam.<\/p>\n<p>The Jugan pilot plant for Bau is designed to study the metallurgical processing of ore for Bau and has been designed to process 50 tonnes per day (tpd). It has the required licensing and capability to increase the processing throughput to up to 200tpd.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s now able to submit regulatory paperwork for approval and once signed off, construction and operation of the plant can begin.<\/p>\n<p>The design of the Jugan pilot plant.
