{"id":9676,"date":"2024-05-15T02:55:54","date_gmt":"2024-05-15T02:55:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=9676"},"modified":"2024-05-15T02:55:54","modified_gmt":"2024-05-15T02:55:54","slug":"torque-metals-eyes-more-gold-and-lithium-riches-with-new-goldfields-tenement-options","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=9676","title":{"rendered":"Torque Metals eyes more gold and lithium riches with new Goldfields tenement options"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Torque Metals signs $1 option agreements to acquire more ground in WA\u2019s Goldfields region with gold and lithium potential<br \/>\nThe acquisition aligns with Torque Metals\u2019 strategy to consolidate highly prospective ground near Penzance exploration camp<br \/>\nAcquisition could expand its project tenure to ~1200km\u00b2, establishing a significant presence in the region<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Torque Metals has signed option agreements to acquire an extensive and strategic package of tenements in WA\u2019s Goldfields region with gold and lithium potential.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The acquisition of these tenements, close to significant projects and mines like Horse Rocks, Kangaroo Hills, Spargoville and Mt Marion, is consistent with <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/torque-metals-tor\/\"><strong>Torque Metals\u2019 (ASX:TOR) strategy<\/strong><\/a> to consolidate highly prospective ground in the vicinity of its Penzance exploration camp.<\/p>\n<p>Penzance is about 30km east of Widgiemooltha and includes the company\u2019s Paris gold project and New Dawn lithium project.<\/p>\n<p>Paris, just 12km east of Gold Fields\u2019 St Ives gold mine that produces close to 400,000ozpa, is the subject of a <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/gold-prices-at-record-highs-no-better-time-for-torque-metals-to-drill-its-underexplored-paris-gold-project\/\"><strong>6500m reverse circulation and diamond drilling program<\/strong><\/a> aimed at proving up its rich potential.<\/p>\n<p>The project is believed to host multiple gold deposits within a larger system.<\/p>\n<p>Over at New Dawn, TOR has identified multiple pegmatites and defined an exploration target of 8-14Mt at 1-1.2% Li2O.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/thats-a-stack-torque-hits-up-to-4-42-li2o-and-pegmatites-in-every-hole-in-latest-drilling-at-new-dawn\/\"><strong>Recent drilling<\/strong><\/a> has proven the presence of lithium, returning hits such as 13.11m at 1.03% Li2O from 49.9m and 15.77m at 1.01% Li2O from 255.9m.<\/p>\n<p>Tenements E15\/1706 and E15\/1707. Pic: Torque Metals<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>More gold and lithium acreage<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The option provides the company with the potential to acquire 100% of licences covering ~250km2 that are fertile for gold and lithium mineralisation, growing its project tenure in the area to ~1200km2.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the tenement package is located west of Horse Rocks where <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=LRD+stockhead&amp;oq=LRD+stockhead&amp;gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqBggAEEUYOzIGCAAQRRg7MgYIARBFGD0yBggCEEUYPNIBCDE2MDJqMGo3qAIAsAIA&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8\"><strong>Lord Resources (ASX:LRD)<\/strong><\/a> had entered into a binding farm-in agreement with <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/mineral-resources-min\/\"><strong>Mineral Resources (ASX:MIN)<\/strong><\/a> and has successfully identified multiple stacked pegmatite swarms that display extensive fractionation.<\/p>\n<p>TOR notes that these tenements are interpreted to share similar geological characteristics and structural setting to the Kangaroo Hills and Mt Marion lithium projects as they are dominantly on greenstone belts with an adjacent intrusion.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the tenements in the Spargoville region border projects held by <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/kali-metals\/\"><strong>Kali Metals (ASX:KM1)<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/marquee-resources-mqr\/\"><strong>Marquee Resources (ASX:MQR)<\/strong><\/a> and are considered to have strong potential for gold and lithium mineralisation.<\/p>\n<p>Tenements in the Spargoville region.
