Silver is on a heater, with prices rising from US$24\/oz at the beginning of the year to ~US$27.<\/p>\n

Argent Minerals\u2019 (ASX:ARD)<\/a> is one of only a handful of ASX stocks with decent exposure to the exciting thematic via its advanced Kempfield project, already one of NSW\u2019s largest silver deposits.<\/p>\n

Kempfield\u2019s sizeable 38.9Mt at 102g\/t silver equivalent resource for 127.5Moz deposit includes 42.8Moz silver, 149,200oz gold, 181,016t lead, and 426,900t zinc.<\/p>\n

But the deposit remains open, which is why the company embarked on a 12 hole drill blitz to test a bunch of nearby targets.<\/p>\n

Nine of these holes tested for mineralised extensions from the Lode 200 Block, while three holes drill tested open sections between the Lodes 100 and 200 mineralised blocks.<\/p>\n

Big silver in all 12 holes <\/strong><\/h2>\n

All twelve drill holes completed over Kempfield intersected shallow, broad thick high-grade zones of silver-lead-zinc mineralisation up to 88m thick from surface from the Western Lode area, and 29m thick northeast of the Lode 200 resource area.<\/p>\n

Highlights include:<\/p>\n

23m @ 34.41 g\/t Ag from 22m;
\n29m @ 34.09 g\/t Ag, 0.14% Pb & 0.41% Zn (0.55% Pb+Zn) from 50m;
\n25m @ 31.09 g\/t Ag & 0.25% Zn from 11m; and
\n88m @ 25.23 g\/t Ag, 0.10% Pb & 0.08% Zn from 2m.<\/p>\n

The new hits confirm what ARD had suspected \u2013 high grades over extensive intervals in a system that is open at depth and along strike.<\/p>\n

ARD MD Pedro Kastellorizos says the newly defined high-grade silver-base metal zones demonstrate a strong continuation of mineralised extensions within the Lode 200 Block.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese zones of mineralisation have identified that the lateral and vertical depth of the overall mineralised lode system is trending in a north-east direction towards the 16.2Moz silver equivalent Lode 300 Block,\u201d Kastellorizos says.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe assay results further reinforce the significant upside potential of the Kempfield Project as we continue to expand the mineralised footprint.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe drilling has confirmed further high grades over extensive intervals, but also new zones of higher-grade mineralisation outside of the JORC Resource area.<\/p>\n
