{"id":8750,"date":"2024-04-24T01:39:32","date_gmt":"2024-04-24T01:39:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=8750"},"modified":"2024-04-24T01:39:32","modified_gmt":"2024-04-24T01:39:32","slug":"wave-of-340-targets-drives-james-bay-minerals-upcoming-exploration-campaigns-at-la-grande","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=8750","title":{"rendered":"Wave of 340 targets drives James Bay Minerals\u2019 upcoming exploration campaigns at La Grande"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>James Bay Minerals has generated a pipeline of 340 targets requiring immediate follow up at La Grande<br \/>\nThe La Grande project is the largest holding along the premium La Grande lithium trend, which extends into PMT\u2019s Corvette property<br \/>\nA summer field exploration program is set to begin within the next few weeks <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special report:<\/em> Desktop studies at James Bay Minerals\u2019 La Grande project in Quebec have identified 340 targets possibly linked to pegmatite outcrops, prompting further investigation. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/james-bay-minerals-jby\/\">James Bay Minerals (ASX:JBY)<\/a> acquired the La Grande East project at the end of March, taking its critical minerals footprint in Canada\u2019s prolific James Bay region to a hefty 371.68km2.<\/p>\n<p>The explorer now holds one of the largest land positions along the La Grande greenstone belt and the largest holding along the premium La Grande lithium trend.<\/p>\n<p>The project includes the Joule, Aero and Aqua properties, and is complimented by the Trollus landholding to the south, leaving the company with plenty of room for discovery.<\/p>\n<p>It sits within a magnetic low that trends into the same corridor as <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/patriot-battery-metals-pmt\/\">Patriot Battery Metals\u2019 (ASX:PMT)<\/a> Corvette discovery with the Transtaiga Highway less than 1km to the north and several walk-up exploration targets scattered throughout the site.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>340 targets displaying key ingredients for LCT pegmatites <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>JBY has now identified a further 340 high-priority targets via desktop studies which focused on magnetic lows (prospective zones) trending from east to west within the property.<\/p>\n<p>Satellite imagery was then overlaid across the prospective zones focused on identifying white outcrops, which can correlate with pegmatite outcrops.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><em>Pegmatite targets identified via satellite imagery.
