{"id":8633,"date":"2024-04-22T00:22:31","date_gmt":"2024-04-22T00:22:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=8633"},"modified":"2024-04-22T00:22:31","modified_gmt":"2024-04-22T00:22:31","slug":"lanthanein-resources-uncovers-monstrous-lithium-soil-anomaly-at-lady-grey","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=8633","title":{"rendered":"Lanthanein Resources uncovers monstrous lithium soil anomaly at Lady Grey"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Soil sampling has identified a large +4km strike lithium soil anomaly at the Lady Grey project<br \/>\nAnomaly at the new Godzilla prospect has an average grade of 150ppm Li2O with a peak of 454ppm Li2O<br \/>\nLanthanein Resources to accelerate work programs to enable drilling in mid-2024<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Tenement-wide soil sampling at Lanthanein Resources\u2019 Lady Grey project near Southern Cross, WA, has identified a large lithium soil anomaly with a strike length of +4km and assays peaking at 454ppm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lady Grey covers 77km2 of prospective tenure in the Forrestania greenstone belt and is immediately adjacent to Covalent Lithium\u2019s 189Mt at 1.53% Li2O Earl Grey mine, one of the largest operating lithium mines in WA.<\/p>\n<p>Notably for <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/lanthanein-resources-lnr\/\"><strong>Lanthanein Resources (ASX:LNR)<\/strong><\/a>, the project hosts a mapped continuation of the Earl Grey pegmatite.<\/p>\n<p>The company had in December last year <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/lanthanein-resources-brews-a-rich-cup-with-acquisition-of-project-next-to-the-giant-earl-grey-lithium-mine\/\"><strong>reached an agreement<\/strong><\/a> with Gondwana Resources to earn up to 70% in the project and has since carried out various exploration programs including the <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/lanthanein-resources-marches-ahead-with-lady-grey-soil-sampling-down-the-road-from-covalents-189mt-giant-early-grey-mine\/\"><strong>tenement-wide soil sampling<\/strong><\/a> to prove up its lithium pegmatite potential.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p>New lithium prospects Godzilla and Avenger. Pic: Lanthanein Resources<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Anomaly could point to large lithium find<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The high tenor lithium soil anomaly at the new Godzilla prospect was outlined by 527 samples returning an average grade of 150ppm Li2O.<\/p>\n<p>Importantly, the potential lithium source granite at Godzilla has displayed a similar spatial relationship to Earl Grey.<\/p>\n<p>Supporting the potential that lithium-caesium-tantalum type pegmatites are present, there is also a strong correlation between lithium and caesium anomalism.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe discovery of such a large coherent lithium geochemical anomaly at the new Godzilla prospect leads us to believe that we may be in the early stages of a large lithium discovery,\u201d technical director Brian Thomas said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe geological rationale points to lithium rich fluids migrating eastward into the \u2018goldilocks\u2019 zone ~2.5-3km east of the respective source granite dome. Our view is the northern granite is responsible for the hydrothermal lithium mineralising event that deposited Early Grey\u2019s 189Mt mine, and we are seeing the geochemical fingerprints of another large lithium mineralising event associated with the southern granite.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe southern granite located in middle western boundary of our tenement displays lithium anomalism extruding out all the way from the granite contact edge \u2013 east to our eastern tenement boundary and includes the sweet spot of 2.7km from source granite where our highest geochemical anomalism was recorded, like Earl Grey.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Next steps<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>LNR will now accelerate work programs and approvals processes to enable drilling to begin in the middle of 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was developed in collaboration with Lanthanein Resources, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This article does not constitute financial product advice.
