{"id":8263,"date":"2024-04-10T06:06:02","date_gmt":"2024-04-10T06:06:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=8263"},"modified":"2024-04-10T06:06:02","modified_gmt":"2024-04-10T06:06:02","slug":"lithium-drilling-poised-to-begin-as-cufe-lines-up-3-5km-of-targets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=8263","title":{"rendered":"Lithium drilling poised to begin as CuFe lines up 3.5km of targets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 3.5km-long lithium anomaly has been identified<br \/>\nHeritage agreement signed and program of works approved for Stage 1 drilling of North Dam<br \/>\nRC drilling to commence this quarter across multiple targets<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report<\/em><\/strong><strong>: A Geochemical soil program across CuFe\u2019s North Dam project has extended the project\u2019s known lithium anomalies to 3.5km in strike and created multiple targets for a Stage 1 RC drill program to kick off this quarter.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/cufe-cuf\/\"><strong>CuFe\u2019s (ASX:CUF)<\/strong><\/a> North Dam project lies\u00a0 between <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/mineral-resources-min\/\"><strong>Mineral Resources\u2019 (ASX:MIN)<\/strong><\/a> Mt Marion lithium mine and <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/develop-global-dvp\/\"><strong>Develop\u2019s (ASX:DVP)<\/strong><\/a> Pioneer Dome lithium project in the WA Goldfields\u2019 booming lithium corridor.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Gearing up for Stage 1 drilling<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A pivotal heritage protection agreement has been signed to allow Stage 1 RC drilling across the identified lithium mineralisation and the project\u2019s program of works (PoW) has been approved.<\/p>\n<p>Targets are based off a <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/cufe-finds-new-drill-new-targets-at-north-dam-lithium-and-ree-project\/\"><strong>February tenement-wide soil sampling program<\/strong><\/a> that targeted historical and new areas of the project using 100m x 400m spacing which showed widespread anomalous lithium concentrations \u00a0of more than 100ppm and up to 349ppm.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><em>Soil sample results showing the 3.5km-long strike length of Li2O mineralisation. Pic: CUF<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe results of the recent soil geochemical program are very exciting and have both extended\u00a0 the area of anomalous Li2O and provided the team additional information to refine the Stage 1 drill targets,\u201d CuFe exec director Mark Hancock says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are also pleased to have entered a Heritage Protection Agreement with the Marlinyu Ghoorlie Native Title claimant group to facilitate our exploration activities at the project and we thank them for their support and look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship in the region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPending the execution of drilling-specific heritage surveys, we will be on track to commence drilling this quarter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe potential for a significant lithium system within the Spargoville and North Dam region is growing with a number of junior participants actively exploring in the region, many in partnership with other major players.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The RC program will target key pegmatites that have been defined with reference to soil anomalies, rock chip samples and outcrop mapping.
