{"id":7882,"date":"2024-04-03T02:14:06","date_gmt":"2024-04-03T02:14:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=7882"},"modified":"2024-04-03T02:14:06","modified_gmt":"2024-04-03T02:14:06","slug":"asx-health-stocks-acrux-jumps-70pc-after-launching-its-acne-gel-in-the-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=7882","title":{"rendered":"ASX Health Stocks: Acrux jumps 70pc after launching its acne gel in the US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Acrux announced launch of acne gel in the US<br \/>\nRecce Pharma granted Israeli patent for its anti-infectives<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Acrux jumps massively after announcing US launch<\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/acrux-acr\/\">Acrux (ASX:ACR)<\/a><\/strong> jumped almost 70% this morning after launching its generic of <strong>Dapsone 5%, Gel<\/strong> in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Dapsone 5%, Gel is a prescription medicine used on the skin (topical) to treat <strong>acne vulgaris<\/strong>. It helps decrease the number and severity of acne pimples, and helps pimples that do develop to heal more quickly.<\/p>\n<p>Dapsone is an antibiotic. According to data from<em> IQVIA<\/em>, annual market sales for Dapsone 5%, Gel products exceed US$15 million.<\/p>\n<p>A generic of topical acne treatment, <em>Aczone<\/em>, it was approved by the FDA in June 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Acrux\u2019s <em>CEO, Michael Kotsanis said the company was \u201clook(ing) forward to announcing additional regulatory approvals and launches in the future\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The company now has 15 products in its portfolio.<\/p>\n<p>Six are approved products of which two are currently revenue generating, in addition to the Dapsone 5%, Gel product, which will soon be generating sales.<\/p>\n<p>Three products meanwhile are currently being reviewed by the FDA.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Recce Pharma granted Israeli patent<\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/recce-pharmaceuticals-rce\/\">Recce Pharmaceuticals (ASX:RCE)<\/a><\/strong> announced that the<strong> Israel Patent Office<\/strong> has formally granted Recce\u2019s new <strong>Patent Family 4 for RECCE\u2019s anti-infectives,<\/strong> with expiry date of 2041.<\/p>\n<p>The patent claims relate to <strong>RECCE 327 (R327)<\/strong> and <strong>RECCE 529 (R529)<\/strong>, most notably the process for preparation of RECCE anti-infectives.<\/p>\n<p>The patent also covers the use of R327\/R529 for the treatment of disease, particularly in treatment of bacterial infections, viral infections and more.<\/p>\n<p>The patent allows the administration of the drug to be applied as an aerosol, gel, topical foam or ointment (or impregnated into a dressing for application to skin or mucous membranes for transdermal or transmucosal delivery).<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, Israel\u2019s pharmaceutical market reached US$5.3 billion, placing the country as one of the fastest healthcare spending growth countries in the world.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to continue advancing our anti-infective portfolio supporting the company\u2019s Israeli opportunities over the time ahead,\u201d said <em>Recce\u2019s CEO, James Graham.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Share prices today:<\/h2>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\"><\/span>\u00a0<br \/>\n<span class=\"et_bloom_bottom_trigger\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The post <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/health\/asx-health-stocks-acrux-jumps-70pc-after-launching-its-acne-gel-in-the-us\/\">ASX Health Stocks: Acrux jumps 70pc after launching its acne gel in the US<\/a> appeared first on <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/\">Stockhead<\/a>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Acrux announced launch of acne gel in the US Recce Pharma granted Israeli patent for its anti-infectives \u00a0 Acrux jumps massively after announcing US launch <a href=\"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=7882\" class=\"read-more-link\">[more&#8230;]<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":7883,"comment_status":"","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-7882","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-finance"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
