{"id":7742,"date":"2024-03-28T02:27:46","date_gmt":"2024-03-28T02:27:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=7742"},"modified":"2024-03-28T02:27:46","modified_gmt":"2024-03-28T02:27:46","slug":"james-bay-minerals-acquires-lithium-ground-with-several-exciting-walk-up-exploration-targets-near-patriots-109mt-flagship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=7742","title":{"rendered":"James Bay Minerals acquires lithium ground with \u2018several exciting walk-up exploration targets\u2019 near Patriot\u2019s 109Mt flagship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La Grande East contains 136 claims over 7,000ha<br \/>\nIdentified trend into the 109.2Mt Corvette lithium project<br \/>\nField exploration to commence in Q2 this year<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report<\/em><\/strong><strong>: James Bay Minerals has expanded its critical minerals footprint after acquiring the La Grande East project, 15km from the Aqua property in Quebec, Canada.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At La Grande East, covering 136 claims across 7,000ha along the Robert-Bourassa reservoir, <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/james-bay-minerals-jby\/\"><strong>James Bay Minerals (ASX:JBY)<\/strong><\/a> has identified a couple of intriguing magnetic lows interpreted to trend into <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/patriot-battery-metals-pmt\/\"><strong>Patriot Battery Metals\u2019 (ASX:PMT)<\/strong><\/a> 109.2Mt Corvette lithium project.<\/p>\n<p>JBY now has a huge 37,168ha landholding across its La Grande projects which include the Joule, Aero and Aqua properties, complemented by its Trollus landholding to the south.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><em>JBY\u2019s Quebec landholdings. Pic supplied: JBY<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>\u2018Multiple large white dyke-like features\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The acquisition includes an initial cash payment of C$21,000 and 210,000 JBY shares to Southshore partnership and other vendors, and a deferred payment of C$30,000 and 300,000 JBY shares within two years.<\/p>\n<p>Initial reviews of the eastern portion of the property have identified multiple large white dyke-like features from satellite imagery, with some more than 500m-long.<\/p>\n\n<p><em>Pic supplied:\u00a0 (JBY)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>JBY says desktop studies and reviews are continuing across the La Grande East project and the team is assessing the available government and satellite data.<\/p>\n<p>Targets identified through this process, together with the results of desktop studies, will inform an initial exploration field program due to commence in Q2 this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><em>The La Grande East staked claims.
