{"id":7621,"date":"2024-03-26T00:08:32","date_gmt":"2024-03-26T00:08:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=7621"},"modified":"2024-03-26T00:08:32","modified_gmt":"2024-03-26T00:08:32","slug":"innovative-exploration-tech-uncovers-potential-nickel-pipes-at-corazons-lynn-lake-drilling-underway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=7621","title":{"rendered":"Innovative exploration tech uncovers potential \u2018nickel pipes\u2019 at Corazon\u2019s Lynn Lake, drilling underway"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Three high-priority targets are being diamond-drilled within the Fraser Lake Complex at Lynn Lake, Canada<br \/>\nProspectivity for nickel, copper and cobalt in sulphides<br \/>\nInnovative geophysical methods have been used to identify targets<br \/>\nLynn Lake produced 206,200t Ni and 107,600 Cu over 24 years up until 1976<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report<\/em><\/strong><strong>: Exploration drilling has kicked off at the Fraser Lake Complex (FLC) within its highly prospective Lynn Lake nickel-copper-cobalt project in Manitoba, Canada, to suss out three high-priority targets within an identified 6km x 3km magmatic sulphide system.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fresh on the back of <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/corazon-to-bank-up-to-9-5m-as-future-battery-minerals-expands-kangaroo-hills-lithium-project\/\"><strong>inking a deal<\/strong><\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/future-battery-minerals-fbm\/\"><strong>Future Battery Minerals (ASX:FBM)<\/strong><\/a> for the lithium rights of its Miriam project in the WA Goldfields for up to $9.5m, <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/corazon-mining-czn\/\"><strong>Corazon Mining (ASX:CZN)<\/strong><\/a> has kicked off the next stage of exploration at Lynn Lake and the conductive anomalies of MTC-1, MTC-2 and MTC-3.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The drill plan<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>MTC-1 is Corazon\u2019s first port of call and drilling is testing various features of the geophysical anomaly which potentially represents sulphide mineralisation.<\/p>\n<p>Two diamond core holes are underway at MTC-1 and are targeting the core of the \u2018Matrix Trend\u2019, which the company reckons could host low-grade nickel-copper-cobalt in sulphides across an extensive area similar to the historic Lynn Lake Mining Centre.<\/p>\n<p>Lynn Lake produced 206,200t Ni and 107,600 Cu over 24 years up until 1976 when it was closed due to extensive cover and swampy terrain making extensions uneconomical.<\/p>\n<p>Fast forward to today and technological advances could give it a new lease on life. Corazon has successfully used several new and innovative geophysical techniques and is targeting the Fraser lake Complex within Lynn Lake.<\/p>\n<p>These include the recently completed 3D IP+MT geophysical survey, utilising Quantec Geoscience\u2019s powerful Orion 3D DCIP and MT Deep Imaging system.<\/p>\n<p>The hot colours depict strong conductivity, with the location of the three high-priority MTC targets.
