{"id":7448,"date":"2024-03-21T03:34:27","date_gmt":"2024-03-21T03:34:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=7448"},"modified":"2024-03-21T03:34:27","modified_gmt":"2024-03-21T03:34:27","slug":"belararoxs-tmt-project-secures-environmental-approval-for-exploration-at-the-lola-target","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=7448","title":{"rendered":"Belararox\u2019s TMT Project secures environmental approval for exploration at the Lola target"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Belararox secures environmental approval for advanced exploration at the Lola target<br \/>\nLola will be the sixth high-sulphidation epithermal and\/or porphyry mineralisation target to be tested at the TMT project this field season<br \/>\nWork to include surface sampling and mapping, track construction and maintenance, and drilling<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Belararox can now proceed with advanced exploration activities at its Toro-Malambo-Tambo (TMT)\u00a0project\u2019s Lola target in Argentina after the environmental impact assessment was approved.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The TMT project boasts similar characteristics to nearby discoveries on the same belt, such as the C$3.1 billion Filo Mining Corp\u2019s 644Mt Filo Del Sol mine that is backed by BHP, as well as the Los Helados and Potro Cliffs projects being developed by TSE-listed NGEx Minerals.<\/p>\n<p>Filo Del Sol holds both high-grade sulphide epithermal copper-gold-silver deposits and copper-gold porphyry mineralisation, with exploration returning average grades of 0.31% copper, 0.32g\/t gold and 10.1g\/t silver.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/belararox-brx\/\"><strong>Belararox\u2019s (ASX:BRX)<\/strong><\/a> exploration has been focused on revealing the TMT project\u2019s epithermal mineralisation and porphyry potential.<\/p>\n<p>Early stage activities at the <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/belararox-has-all-the-makings-for-a-high-sulphidation-porphyry-system-at-tambo-south-ahead-of-drilling-later-this-year\/\"><strong>Tambo South target<\/strong><\/a> \u2013 one of 12 high priority exploration targets \u2013 returned characteristics of a high sulphidation setting or the upper levels of a porphyry system.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Lola gets green nod<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>BRX has now received the EIA for the Lola target \u2013 the 10th ranked priority target at TMT \u2013 allowing it to carry out activities, such as surface sampling and mapping, track construction and maintenance, and drilling.<\/p>\n<p>It will also be the sixth high-sulphidation epithermal and\/or porphyry mineralisation target the company will test this field season.<\/p>\n<p>The approval means that eight of the nine EIA\u2019s submitted by the company have been given the green light.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe approval of the Lola EIA enables the TMT project to progress fieldwork activities north in a systematic fashion at one of the priority targets identified by exploration porphyry expert Dr Steve Garwin,\u201d BRX managing director Arvind Misra said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe persistence of the Argentinean team in communicating with the San Juan Environmental and Mines Department has resulted in speedy approval of the EIA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe company thanks the Argentinean team for their efforts in the field season, and we look forward to receiving the final (Malambo 4) EIA approval soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Major interest in TMT <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Misra says the company attracted interest of several major mining companies active in South America during the annual Prospectors &amp; Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference in Toronto earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><em>BRX managing director Arvind Misra and exploration director Jason Ward meeting with official representatives from the Mendoza province, including Governor HE Alfredo Cornejo.
