{"id":7127,"date":"2024-03-13T22:55:32","date_gmt":"2024-03-13T22:55:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=7127"},"modified":"2024-03-13T22:55:32","modified_gmt":"2024-03-13T22:55:32","slug":"open-in-all-directions-firetail-resources-extends-cumbre-coya-copper-target-to-170m-at-picha","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=7127","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Open in all directions\u2019: Firetail Resources extends Cumbre Coya copper target to 170m at Picha"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Assay from second drill hole confirms 170m strike length at Cumbre Coya<br \/>\nMineralisation open in all directions<br \/>\nDrilling and target generation ongoing<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report<\/em><\/strong><strong>: Assays coming in from maiden drilling at Firetail Resources\u2019 Cumbre Coya target at its Picha copper project in Peru have confirmed the continuation of copper mineralisation over 170m, with the strike open in all directions and at depth.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At the southern end of Peru\u2019s illustrious copper district where big hitters such as Vale, BHP, Rio and Newmont all have major operations, Picha is <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/firetail-team-dial-in-on-pichas-substantial-prize-with-shallow-hits-up-to-500g-t-silver-2pc-copper\/\"><strong>showing early signs of \u2018supergene\u2019 mineralisation<\/strong><strong> from surface<\/strong>.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>170m strike length confirmed<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/firetail-resources-ftl\/\"><strong>Firetail Resources (ASX:FTL)<\/strong><\/a> says assays from the second drill hole in its maiden 5,000m diamond drill program at the Combre Coya have confirmed a mineralised structure across a 170m strike length.<\/p>\n<p>Hole 23PCCD0002, collared ~140m southeast of the first hole and drilled down to 340m intersected:<\/p>\n<p>3.15m @ 0.16% copper and 1.6g\/t silver from 65.25m<br \/>\n2.85m @ 0.51% copper and 4.4g\/t silver from 72.7m<br \/>\n0.75m @ 1.16% copper and 7.3g\/t silver from 82.05<br \/>\n1.15m @ 2.30% copper and 11.3g\/t silver from 91.35m<\/p>\n<p>The first hole, 23PCCD0001, returned a best result of 15.5m @ 0.72% copper and 130g\/t silver from 3.25m.<\/p>\n<p>Assays are pending for the third and fourth holes, which were drilled down to depths of 245m and 573m respectively, testing the extent of the Cumbre Coya fault.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><em>Diamond drill hole results and locations at Cumbre Coya.
