{"id":7094,"date":"2024-03-13T05:21:02","date_gmt":"2024-03-13T05:21:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=7094"},"modified":"2024-03-13T05:21:02","modified_gmt":"2024-03-13T05:21:02","slug":"haranga-resources-is-eyeing-a-uranium-resource-upgrade-at-saraya","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=7094","title":{"rendered":"Haranga Resources is eyeing a uranium resource upgrade at Saraya"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RC drilling returns shallow, uranium mineralisation at Saraya<br \/>\npXRF analysis shows widths and concentrations that are consistent with Haranga\u2019s mineralisation model<br \/>\nAssays sent to the laboratory to determine final uranium concentration<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Initial reverse circulation drilling has provided Haranga Resources with enough early proof that an upgrade to the existing uranium resource at its Saraya project in Senegal is likely.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/haranga-resources\/\"><strong>Haranga Resources (ASX:HAR)<\/strong><\/a> has been busy using <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/termite-mound-sampling-continues-to-pay-off-with-haranga-defining-two-anomalies-at-mandankoly\/\"><strong>termite mound sampling<\/strong><\/a> as a quick and cost-effective method of defining uranium targets within the Saraya project area.<\/p>\n<p>This has allowed the company to define <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/termite-mound-sampling-continues-to-stack-up-uranium-anomaly-inventory-for-haranga-resources-at-saraya\/\"><strong>multiple anomalies<\/strong><\/a> for further testing using auger drilling.<\/p>\n<p>RC drilling to produce confirmation data for the resource estimate upgrade started last December and was completed in February following a brief pause for the end-of-year break.<\/p>\n<p>This included eight holes at the Saraya prospect and one at the Diobi prospect. The company is looking to undertake further drilling at Saraya.<\/p>\n<p>Saraya currently has a resource of 12.4Mt @ 587ppm eU3O8 for 16.1Mlbs of contained U3O8.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Mineralisation remains open along strike<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>HAR has now processed all samples from the RC drilling using pXRF to determine anomalism.<\/p>\n<p>This work, which is not intended to be used as a replacement for laboratory testing, returned top hits of 29m @ 903ppm eU3O8 from a down-hole depth of 92m, 39m @ 354ppm eU3O8 from 29m and 13m @ 672ppm eU3O8 from 80m.<\/p>\n<p>All samples displaying anomalism for uranium will be sent to ALS Laboratories in Canada for assaying to produce a reliable indicator of the final uranium concentration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first results from the RC drilling are indicating the continuation of the uranium mineralisation at Saraya,\u201d HAR managing director Peter Batten said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe first eight holes have returned significant widths and concentrations that are consistent with the model and the mineral resource estimation published in October 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are hopeful the RC drilling at Mandankoly and Sanela will produce indications of the potential beneath the laterite cover within the anomalies identified from the auger drilling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Road ahead<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The rig has now moved to test auger soil anomalies at Mandankoly and Sanela before it returns to Saraya for further drilling.<\/p>\n<p>HAR is also continuing termite mound sampling and regional sampling \u2013 both of which are expected to be completed in Q2 \u2013 with auger drilling continuing on those anomalies.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was developed in collaboration with Haranga Resources, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This article does not constitute financial product advice.
