{"id":683,"date":"2023-10-30T11:36:08","date_gmt":"2023-10-30T11:36:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=683"},"modified":"2023-10-30T11:36:08","modified_gmt":"2023-10-30T11:36:08","slug":"former-nt-chief-minister-adam-giles-takes-the-chair-at-early-mover-pure-hydrogen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=683","title":{"rendered":"Former NT chief minister Adam Giles takes the chair at \u2018early mover\u2019 Pure Hydrogen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Former NT chief minister Adam Giles appointed chairman of Pure Hydrogen<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Pure Hydrogen (ASX:PH2)<\/strong> believes large-scale adoption of hydrogen fuelled heavy transport vehicles will be a primary driver for industry\u2019s growth<\/p>\n<p><strong>Natural gas play and industry innovator Pure Hydrogen has appointed former NT chief minister Adam Giles as chairman to help drive green hydrogen goals for the company and its corporate customers.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Adam Giles Image sourced: The Australian<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Hydrogen (H2) is increasingly becoming an integral part of our push to net zero carbon emissions. <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/pure-hydrogen-corporation-ph2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Pure Hydrogen (ASX:PH2)<\/strong><\/a> believes large-scale adoption of hydrogen fuelled heavy transport vehicles across land, air and sea will be a primary driver for the industry\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n<p>PH2 could have hydrogen trucks on the move very soon, <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/pure-hydrogens-fuel-cell-powered-garbage-truck-is-about-to-hit-the-road\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>after reaching an agreement with waste management collection business JJ\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> in March last year to supply hydrogen fuel cells for its &gt;2,000 fleet.<\/p>\n<p>The company says it\u2019s positioning its business model to package up H2 devices with H2 fuel supply at a monthly fixed cost over a long-term time horizon.<\/p>\n<p>The monthly cost \u2013 established on a per-client basis with each corporate customer \u2013 will be less than the monthly cost of new ICE devices burning imported diesel fuel.<\/p>\n<p>This offers PH2 its customers a commercial incentive to transition to no-emissions and green H2 while improving their broader ESG scores.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Marquee appointment<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Incoming chairman Adam Giles is expanding his roles in northern Australia to help push green hydrogen goals for Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Already interim CEO for Australia\u2019s richest person Gina Rinehart and her Hancock Agriculture and S. Kidman &amp; Co businesses, Giles is taking a pivotal role with PH2 to help open doors between government and industry and facilitate the growth of the country\u2019s emerging hydrogen sector.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPure Hydrogen is poised to benefit from the early-mover advantage that Ron and the team have been instrumental in establishing,\u201d Giles says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m excited and grateful for the opportunity to serve as Chairman. My vision is to work with my fellow board members and the management team to ensure Pure Hydrogen has a solid foundation capable of navigating through both challenges and opportunities, with the goal to drive performance and create shareholder value.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Outgoing chair Ron Prefontaine, who will still retain a seat at the table as non-exec chair, says Pure Hydrogen is the most successful business he has been involved with \u2013 even comparable to his involvement with Arrow Energy \u2013 which was subsequently sold for $3.5bn.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHydrogen has established the foundations to build a clean energy business of global scale.
