{"id":6826,"date":"2024-03-07T02:25:52","date_gmt":"2024-03-07T02:25:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=6826"},"modified":"2024-03-07T02:25:52","modified_gmt":"2024-03-07T02:25:52","slug":"future-battery-minerals-extends-strike-length-of-its-nevada-lithium-project-by-1-7km","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=6826","title":{"rendered":"Future Battery Minerals extends strike length of its Nevada lithium project by 1.7km"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Future Battery Minerals has received the latest Phase 3 drilling results at the Nevada lithium project<br \/>\nThe focus of the RC component of the drilling was to test the southern strike extent of the Lone Mountain prospect<br \/>\nA maiden resource in on track for Q1 2024 <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em><\/strong><strong> Phase 3 drilling at Future Battery Minerals\u2019 80%-owned Nevada lithium project has substantially extended the strike extent of the Lone Mountain mineralisation, which now stretches over 3km. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/future-battery-minerals-fbm\/\">Future Battery Minerals\u2019 (ASX:FBM)<\/a> Lone Mountain prospect has been the subject of a combined reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling (DD) Phase 3 program to test the southern strike extent of the shallow deposit.<\/p>\n<p>The six drill holes totalled 1,177m, intercepting the host Siebert Formation from surface and returning results like 226m @ 855ppm lithium from 140m.<\/p>\n<p>FBM has now received the full batch of RC assays which extend the delineated strike extent of the thick Lone Mountain mineralisation by an additional 1.7km.<\/p>\n<p>The company says this strike extent includes a modelled continuous thick package of +1,000ppm lithium claystone.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Resource estimate on schedule for Q1 <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Thick, shallow standout RC results from this phase of drilling include:<\/p>\n<p>128m @ 770ppm lithium from 37m, including 23m @ 1,106ppm lithium from 131m;<br \/>\n130m @ 706ppm lithium from 35m, including 37m @ 1,001ppm lithium from 117m; and<br \/>\n98m @ 478ppm lithium from 35m, including 14m @ 1,010ppm lithium from 105m.<\/p>\n<p>FBM plans to incorporate the results into a maiden resource estimate for the project, on schedule for Q1 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>\u2018An approximate 130% extension\u2019 <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cOur Phase 3 drill program at the Nevada lithium project has been a huge success,\u201d FBM managing director and CEO Nick Rathjen says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe RC assay results released today demonstrate an approximate 130% extension of the known strike of the Lone Mountain mineralisation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen coupled with the results from the diamond drilling component of Phase 3, it is evident as to why we are so pleased with the outcomes from this phase of drilling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What\u2019s next? <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>All Phase 3 assays are now with FBM\u2019s geological partner in Nevada, Stantec Consulting to deliver the resource estimate.<\/p>\n<p>FBM says it looks forward to demonstrating both the scale and opportunity that exists at the NLP.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was developed in collaboration with Future Battery Minerals, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This article does not constitute financial product advice.
