{"id":6718,"date":"2024-03-05T03:09:30","date_gmt":"2024-03-05T03:09:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=6718"},"modified":"2024-03-05T03:09:30","modified_gmt":"2024-03-05T03:09:30","slug":"magnetic-resources-is-closing-in-on-the-magic-1moz-mark-at-ljn4-and-its-not-stopping-there","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=6718","title":{"rendered":"Magnetic Resources is closing in on the magic 1Moz mark at LJN4 and it\u2019s not stopping there"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Magnetic Resources upgrades LJN4 resource by 11% to 948,200oz of contained gold<br \/>\nUpgrade is due to successful down-dip drilling<br \/>\nResults from deep diamond holes still pending<br \/>\nCompany focused on completing PFS for the project and further resources growth<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Successful down-dip drilling has paid off for Magnetic Resources, allowing the company to upgrade contained gold within the Lady Julie North 4 deposit by 11% to 948,200oz.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It lifts the total resources reported for the company\u2019s Laverton and Homeward Bound South projects to 24.9Mt @ 1.66g\/t gold, or 1.33Moz of contained gold.<\/p>\n<p>Adding to <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/magnetic-resources-mau\/\"><strong>Magnetic Resources\u2019 (ASX:MAU)<\/strong><\/a> plan to develop an open pit operation, 65% of the LJN4 resource \u2013 or 615,100oz of contained gold \u2013 now sits in the higher confidence indicated category that can be used in mine planning, after recent drilling confirmed lode continuity on and between sections.<\/p>\n<p>The upgrade comes just a little more than three months since the company <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/the-big-leagues-magnetic-increases-gold-resources-by-107pc-to-1-24moz\/\"><strong>last upgraded resources<\/strong><\/a> at LJN4 by 317% in late November.<\/p>\n<p>LJN4 currently has a footprint of 750m by 500m, with recent drilling confirming MAU\u2019s previous interpretation of a moderately dipping, multi-lode structure.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, recent step-out drilling has encountered large breccia zones \u2013 a development that augers well for the continuation of mineralisation at depth.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Resource model of the LJN4 deposit. Pic: Supplied (MAU)<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>More gold could be on the horizon<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Extension drilling is continuing at LJN4 and could deliver further resource upgrades as the northern, central and southern parts of the deposit remain <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/down-dip-extensions-have-magnetic-resources-eyeing-off-growth-potential-at-the-ljn4-gold-deposit\/\"><strong>open down-dip<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Results for six deep diamond holes are pending, while another is currently being completed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Lady Julie North 4 resource has been the key focus for recent drilling, with multiple stacked lodes identified with a number of thick intersections that have still not been closed off at depth,\u201d MAU managing director George Sakalidis said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe LJN4 deposit keeps on adding ounces, increasing from 204,000oz in February 2023 to 948,000oz in this report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe northern part of LJN4 is continuous over 300m down dip.
