{"id":6461,"date":"2024-02-28T05:18:21","date_gmt":"2024-02-28T05:18:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=6461"},"modified":"2024-02-28T05:18:21","modified_gmt":"2024-02-28T05:18:21","slug":"future-battery-minerals-granted-ministerial-approval-for-conservation-plan-at-the-kangaroo-hills-lithium-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=6461","title":{"rendered":"Future Battery Minerals granted ministerial approval for conservation plan at the Kangaroo Hills lithium project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Future Battery Minerals receives ministerial approval for the new Conservation Management Plan at the Kangaroo Hills project<br \/>\nProgram of Works for drilling over key northern targets to be lodged<br \/>\nPhase 4 drilling activities will kick off mid-March <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Ministerial approval for the new Conservation Management Plan (CMP) over the northern area of the Kangaroo Hills project marks a key awaited milestone in the approvals process for drilling.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/future-battery-minerals-fbm\/\">Future Battery Minerals (ASX:FBM)<\/a> has received ministerial approval for its new Conservation Management Plan (CMP) on the northern and most prospective part of the Kangaroo Hills lithium project, encompassing the Kangaroo Hills timber reserve in WA\u2019s Goldfields.<\/p>\n<p>With this approval under its wing and pending the approval of a Program of Works (POW) for drilling in the area, FBM says it can truly go after the targeted extension of high-value lithium mineralisation identified at Big Red, a key prospect where previous drilling has returned 29m @ 1.36% Li2O from 38m.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>High potential regional prospectivity <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to have achieved the key awaited milestone of ministerial approval for our new CMP,\u201d FBM managing director Nick Rathjen says.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Big Red extension and regional targets. Pic: Supplied (FBM)<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn addition to the Big Red Extension, the northern part of the KHLP also offers several other high-potential regional resistivity anomaly targets including the Western Grey, Quokka, Big Red West, and Whip Tail prospects.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSelect drilling of these targets is also incorporated in planned Phase 4 drilling activities, which are scheduled to begin promptly upon POW receipt \u2013 expected to be during the current quarter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What\u2019s next? <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>FBM now plans to immediately lodge the POW for its planned Phase 4 drilling activities in the northern part of the Kangaroo Hills lithium project with the WA Government\u2019s DMIRS.<\/p>\n<p>Following the expected approval of this POW, the company expects to commence drilling promptly thereafter.<\/p>\n<p>Phase 4 drilling activities remain on track for the current quarter and are scheduled to begin in mid-March.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was developed in collaboration with Future Battery Minerals, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This article does not constitute financial product advice.
