{"id":6433,"date":"2024-02-27T21:55:26","date_gmt":"2024-02-27T21:55:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=6433"},"modified":"2024-02-27T21:55:26","modified_gmt":"2024-02-27T21:55:26","slug":"belararox-launches-into-fieldwork-at-tambo-south-a-target-with-similar-characteristics-to-the-nearby-bhp-backed-filo-del-sol","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=6433","title":{"rendered":"Belararox launches into fieldwork at Tambo South, a target with similar characteristics to the nearby BHP-backed Filo Del Sol"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Field work at the Tambo South target has started comprising surface sampling and geological mapping<br \/>\nThe start of these activities means exploration over the TMT project has progressed north to focus on the two highest priority areas<br \/>\nBelararox\u2019s exploration director and chief technical consultant are currently on site leading the activities <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report<\/em>: Belararox has started field work at Tambo South \u2013 the fifth of 12 such targets within the Toro-Malambo-Tambo (TMT) project in Argentina \u2013 with testing under way for sulphidation epithermal and porphyry style mineralisation. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/belararox-brx\/\">Belararox (ASX:BRX)<\/a> is undertaking a detailed exploration program comprising systematic surface sampling and Anaconda geological mapping at the Tambo South target, to the north of Filo Mining Corp\u2019s Filo Del Sol mine.<\/p>\n<p>Filo Mining boasts a market capitalisation of around $3.1 billion, with BHP recently investing $113.16 million to secure a 5% stake in the company.<\/p>\n<p>The Filo del Sol deposit has an estimated 644Mt resource with average grades of 0.31% copper, 0.32g\/t gold and 10.1g\/t silver.<\/p>\n<p>Another major discovery within close proximity to the TMT project is Vancouver-based NGEx Minerals and its Lunahuasi project, which recently intersected bonanza-grade intervals of up to 4.56% copper equivalent from 192m.<\/p>\n<p>BRX\u2019s geological team believe Tambo South shares similar characteristics to that of Filo Del Sol with its ASTER and senteinial2 interpretation, carried out by BRX chief technical advisor and porphyry specialist Dr Steve Garwin.<\/p>\n<p><em>Team of geologists at Tambo South. Pic: Supplied (BRX) <\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>\u2018Very advantageous position\u2019 <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>BRX exploration director Jason Ward says the initial field visit to Tambo South was very encouraging and confirmed the company\u2019s view it is a high-priority target.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo have such a large alteration system located at the intersection of major structural lineaments in this geological setting places the company in a very advantageous position,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMapping and sampling are under way and will be followed up with a drone magnetic survey in order to plan drill targets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Team of geologists at Tambo South.
