{"id":6401,"date":"2024-02-27T03:50:20","date_gmt":"2024-02-27T03:50:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=6401"},"modified":"2024-02-27T03:50:20","modified_gmt":"2024-02-27T03:50:20","slug":"galan-lithium-completes-pond-1-earthworks-moves-closer-to-the-summit-of-first-production-in-argentina","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=6401","title":{"rendered":"Galan Lithium completes Pond 1 earthworks, moves closer to the summit of first production in Argentina"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pond 1 earthworks have wrapped up at the Hombre Muerto West lithium brine project in Argentina<br \/>\nFilling of the remainder of Pond 1 currently under way<br \/>\nPond 2 earthworks already 65% complete <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report<\/em>: With Pond 1 earthworks and liner installation now complete, Galan Lithium is moving ahead with evaporation activities which represent the first step in the company\u2019s long-term production schedule. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/galan-lithium-gln\/\">Galan Lithium (ASX:GLN)<\/a> continues to make steady progress in advancing the Hombre Muerto West (HMW) Phase 1 lithium brine project in Argentina, with a premium lithium chloride production expected in the first half of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Pond 1 earth and liner installation has wrapped up with filling of the remainder of Pond 1 currently under way.<\/p>\n<p>The evaporation process has kicked off as Pond 2 earthworks construction continues to progress at the 65% completion mark.<\/p>\n<p>So far, nine production wells have been constructed offering operational flexibility with liner installations to begin next week at Pond 2.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>\u2018A significant milestone\u2019 <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThe completion of earthworks and the installation of liners for Pond 1 represents a significant milestone for the HMW Phase 1 construction team,\u201d GLN managing director Juan Pablo (JP) Vargas de la Vega says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvaporation has now begun which is the first step of the company\u2019s long-term production schedule for its low-cost, low-risk lithium chloride development strategy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Construction progress at HMW in February \u201924.
