{"id":6243,"date":"2024-02-22T22:02:13","date_gmt":"2024-02-22T22:02:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=6243"},"modified":"2024-02-22T22:02:13","modified_gmt":"2024-02-22T22:02:13","slug":"anson-turns-the-tap-on-a-potential-maiden-lithium-brine-resource","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=6243","title":{"rendered":"Anson turns the tap on a potential maiden lithium brine resource"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Anson starts resource drilling at the Green River lithium brine project in Utah<br \/>\nFirst hole to reach as deep as ~3,292m to sample the Mississippian Units and Clastic Zones<br \/>\nCore will be collected to assist assessment of porosity, permeability and other key factors for resource definition<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Anson Resources has started drilling aimed at defining a maiden resource for its potentially extensive Green River lithium brine project in Utah\u2019s Paradox Basin.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Green River has a large, conceptual exploration target of between 2Bt and 2.6Bt of brines grading 100ppm to 150ppm lithium and 2,000ppm to 3,000ppm bromine.<\/p>\n<p>Early work has already indicated that lithium-rich brines at the 106.2km2 project\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/anson-resources-discovers-artesian-brine-flow-at-green-river-lithium-project-in-utah\/\"><strong>could flow to the surface naturally<\/strong><\/a>, which would then potentially reduce operating costs by eliminating the need for mechanical pumping to extract brines from depth.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/anson-resources-asn\/\"><strong>Anson Resources (ASX:ASN)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0intends to develop Green River in parallel with its flagship asset, the nearby 1.038Mt LCE\u00a0Paradox lithium project, which has similar geological, metallurgical and structural characteristics.<\/p>\n<p>All regulatory approvals are in place with the company <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/smooth-sailing-for-anson-resources-with-go-ahead-to-start-resource-definition-drilling-at-green-river\/\"><strong>having already received<\/strong><\/a> the key Notice of Intent approval and grant of the Application Permit to Drill from the Utah Division of Oil, Gas and Mining (UDOGM) Minerals Division earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Lithium brine drilling begins<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Drilling is now under way at the Bosydaba-1 exploration well, which will be drilled to a depth of ~3,292m to sample the Mississippian Units and Clastic Zones, as the first phase of the resource definition program at Green River.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The drill rig setup at the Bosydaba#1 well site.
