{"id":5186,"date":"2024-02-01T01:12:38","date_gmt":"2024-02-01T01:12:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=5186"},"modified":"2024-02-01T01:12:38","modified_gmt":"2024-02-01T01:12:38","slug":"asx-health-stocks-singular-health-shoots-60pc-through-the-roof-after-breakthrough-deal-in-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=5186","title":{"rendered":"ASX Health Stocks: Singular Health shoots 60pc through the roof after breakthrough deal in US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Singular Health jumps 60pc after purchase order contract<br \/>\nPIQ presents positive results at Symposium<br \/>\nECS Botanics secures $9 million offtake agreement<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Singular Health surges 60pc on purchase order<\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/singular-health-group-shg\/\">Singular Health Group (ASX:SHG)<\/a><\/strong> skyrocketed by 60% this morning after securing a purchase order for <strong>3Dicom licences<\/strong> from <strong>Roseman University of Health Sciences<\/strong> in Las Vegas, Nevada.<\/p>\n<p>The two-year contract includes a purchase order for 50 3Dicom R&amp;D licences and 5,000 3Dicom Patient licences, for total value of approximately $152,000.<\/p>\n<p>The platforms are to be used for college students and patients treated at Roseman University\u2019s medical school.<\/p>\n<p>While the $152k contract is not huge, the purchase means that Roseman University has become the first US College to adopt Singular\u2019s 3Dicom R&amp;D software as a medical education tool, in a <strong>market forecast to be worth USD$17.6 billion by 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>With the ability to view thousands of previous medical cases in 2D and 3D from open-source DICOM libraries, students at Roseman University will now be able to explore and learn complex anatomy and pathology using SHG\u2019s software.<\/p>\n<p>The purchase order today is on the back of recent purchase orders from Saudi Arabia\u2019s Majmaah University announced in December.<\/p>\n<p>Singular also announced that it has commenced works to deploy a number of non-diagnostic artificial intelligence (AI) models into the 3Dicom R&amp;D software.<\/p>\n<p>This will enable the rapid segmentation of CT and MRI models into a collection of individual anatomical structures that can be selected, added, removed, replaced, and quantitatively analysed by users.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Proteomics to present results at <strong>Symposium<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/proteomics-international-laboratories-piq\/\">Proteomics International (ASX:PIQ)<\/a><\/strong> said its novel <strong>PromarkerEndo blood test<\/strong> for <strong>endometriosis<\/strong> has been clinically validated in an independent patient group.<\/p>\n<p>The results are being presented at the <strong>29th Annual Lorne Proteomics Symposium<\/strong>, the annual conference of the <em>Australasian Proteomics Society, <\/em>held between 31 January \u2013 3 February.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe results presented at the conference are compelling, and further strengthen the diagnostic performance of PromarkerEndo,\u201d said PIQ\u2019s CEO, Dr Richard Lipscombe.<\/p>\n<p>Endometriosis affects an estimated one in seven women and girls in Australia, often causing pain and infertility, with diagnosis currently taking an average of 7.5 years.<\/p>\n<p>Separately, PIQ will also present the results from its novel PromarkerEso blood test for <strong>oesophageal adenocarcinoma<\/strong>, a condition that affects 1-2% of adults and can arise from chronic acid reflux.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>ECS nabs $9m offtake deal<\/h2>\n<p>Meanwhile there were a couple of announcements from ASX cannabis stocks this morning.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/ecs-botanics-ecs\/\">ECS Botanics (ASX:ECS)<\/a><\/strong> has secured a $9 million offtake agreement with <strong>UK-based Rokshaw<\/strong> for supply of medicinal cannabis dried flower over three years.<\/p>\n<p>The supply will commence this financial year with a minimum order volume of 600kg per annum.
