{"id":5125,"date":"2024-01-31T05:14:46","date_gmt":"2024-01-31T05:14:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=5125"},"modified":"2024-01-31T05:14:46","modified_gmt":"2024-01-31T05:14:46","slug":"burley-minerals-nabs-three-lithium-exploration-licences-in-manitoba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=5125","title":{"rendered":"Burley Minerals nabs three lithium exploration licences in Manitoba"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Burley Minerals granted another three mineral exploration licences in Manitoba<br \/>\nThe lithium-focused explorer now has five projects in the emerging Canadian lithium province<br \/>\nHistorical exploration records and drill core being reviewed prior to field work beginning in the spring <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Burley Minerals has acquired land packages in Manitoba\u2019s very prospective, lithium-bearing greenstone belts, adding some 425km2 to the ground it has already acquired in the emerging Canadian mineral district. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/burley-minerals-bur\/\">Burley Minerals (ASX:BUR)<\/a> has upped its exploration game in Manitoba following the grant of three mineral exploration licences for Paull Lake North, Partridge East and Partridge West projects.<\/p>\n<p>The granted land area is now 680km2, or 61% of the total acquired land package of 1,100km2. Another two licence applications for Oxford (90km2) and Paul Lake South (340km2) are still progressing.<\/p>\n<p>According to BUR, the tenure provides <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/burley-grows-canadian-lithium-exposure-picks-up-1100-km2-across-5-projects\/\">exposure to Manitoba\u2019s Superior Province terrain<\/a>, an emerging and extremely underexplored lithium region containing some recently discovered lithium deposits.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Geological database with a pegmatite focus <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Drill core from historical exploration on these projects are stored at various core \u201clibraries\u201d around the province, and BUR\u2019s exploration geologists in Canada plan to re-log and analyse the drill core with XRF this winter before on-ground reconnaissance exploration work this spring and summer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBurley is excited to have three additional exploration licenses in the emerging lithium province of Manitoba which \u2013 including Cormorant and the White Rabbit projects \u2013 provides a unique value proposition to Burley\u2019s existing lithium portfolio,\u201d BUR managing director and CEO Stewart McCallion says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Burley exploration team has started developing its geological database, with a pegmatite focus, and the geologists will be reviewing the core prior to developing exploration programs on the new properties once the snow melts in the Spring.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This follows BUR entering into a <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/burley-grows-canadian-lithium-exposure-picks-up-1100-km2-across-5-projects\/\">heads of agreement with the vendors of Auroa Lithium<\/a>, the legal and beneficial owner of the mineral exploration licences over the Cormorant pegmatite field and White Rabbit lithium prospect, on 28 December.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was developed in collaboration with Burley Minerals, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This article does not constitute financial product advice.
