{"id":4613,"date":"2024-01-19T01:22:50","date_gmt":"2024-01-19T01:22:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=4613"},"modified":"2024-01-19T01:22:50","modified_gmt":"2024-01-19T01:22:50","slug":"adavale-resources-keeping-up-the-nickel-exploration-pace-at-kabanga-jirani","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=4613","title":{"rendered":"Adavale Resources keeping up the nickel exploration pace at Kabanga Jirani"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Adavale Resources plans to carry out a deep penetrating ground EM survey and potential follow-up drill testing at HEM 4<br \/>\nA sixth diamond hole at Luhuma Central will also be completed<br \/>\nCoincident geochemical and geophysical anomaly at HEM 2E to be tested, along with historical massive sulphide intersections<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> Adavale Resources has sketched out exploration plans for its Kabanga Jirani nickel project, with plans to follow up on work carried out in 2023 while testing a wealth of regional targets generated by previous geophysical surveys.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Kabanga Jirani project in Tanzania sits along strike from <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/bhp-bhp\/\"><strong>BHP\u2019s (ASX:BHP)<\/strong><\/a> Tier 1 58Mt Kabanga deposit, <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/ground-breakers-bhp-lobs-us100m-into-a-nickel-orebody-so-deep-its-measured-in-eiffel-towers\/\"><strong>one of the largest undeveloped nickel sulphide projects in the world<\/strong><\/a> that is currently the subject of a 30-year, 65,000tpa nickel equivalent\u00a0development.<\/p>\n<p>Given this level of prospectivity, it is unsurprising that <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/adavale-resources-add\/\"><strong>Adavale Resources (ASX:ADD)<\/strong><\/a> diligently carried out extensive exploration in 2023 to increase its understanding of its own project, with a focus on Luhuma Central.<\/p>\n<p>All holes drilled to their planned depth at Luhuma Central <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/100pc-hit-rate-all-five-drillholes-intersect-nickel-sulphides-at-adavales-luhuma-central-prospect\/\"><strong>intersected massive nickel sulphide mineralisation<\/strong><\/a> that remains open down-dip within an electromagnetic anomaly, with a <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/finding-kabanga-2-0-adavale-unearths-potential-700m-long-nickel-sulphide-zone-at-luhuma\/\"><strong>strike of 700m<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Drilling was also carried out at the HEM 4 target where six of the nine reverse circulation holes confirmed coincident soil and geophysical anomalies are associated with prospective mafic rock types, including ultramafic in one of the drill holes.<\/p>\n<p>Other work included soil geochemistry targeting historical BHP airborne magnetic and EM anomalies to determine possible extensions to the soil anomalies identified from the first phase of sampling.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Location of 2023 soil samples surveys in pale blue. Pic via Adavale Resources<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Exploration being mapped out<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>ADD is currently evaluating an extensive exploration program it intends to carry out in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>This includes detailed, deep penetrating ground EM at HEM 4 and potential follow-up drill testing along with completion of DDLUHC006 \u2013 the sixth diamond hole \u2013 at Luhuma Central.<\/p>\n<p>It also plans to test a coincident geochemical and geophysical anomaly at HEM 2E, follow-up evaluation of historical massive sulphide intersections at HEM 2NE and prioritise new targets for testing from its extensive regional geophysical and geochemical data sets.<\/p>\n<p>Further work will also be considered.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Geochemical anomalies (based on anomalies Ni and Cu values).
