{"id":4428,"date":"2024-01-16T03:20:30","date_gmt":"2024-01-16T03:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=4428"},"modified":"2024-01-16T03:20:30","modified_gmt":"2024-01-16T03:20:30","slug":"gti-energy-drives-growth-and-development-of-wyoming-isr-uranium-resources-with-new-leadership-appointment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=4428","title":{"rendered":"GTI Energy drives growth and development of Wyoming ISR uranium resources with new leadership appointment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GTI Energy appoints Denver based Matt Hartmann as president of US operations<br \/>\nHartmann previously provided technical &amp; managerial expertise to several ISR uranium projects including, Cameco\u2019s Smith Ranch\u2013Highland, Encore\u2019s Rosita central processing plant &amp; wellfield &amp; Dewey-Burdock plus Laramide\u2019s Churchrock<br \/>\nGTI is refining its 2024 exploration plan at Lo Herma to be integrated into the broader exploration program for all of its Wyoming projects <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report<\/em>: GTI Energy has appointed experienced Denver-based ISR uranium technical and executive leader Matt Hartmann as President of US Operations as the company prepares to upgrade resources at its Lo Herma ISR uranium project in Wyoming. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/gti-energy-gtr\/'\"><strong>GTI Energy (ASX:GTR)<\/strong><\/a> completed a 26-hole, 4,000m drilling program at the Lo Herma project in Wyoming, US in late December which was designed to verify the company\u2019s historical drilling database.<\/p>\n<p>During 2023, GTR CEO and executive director Bruce Lane said the explorer used the drilling database to develop its resource and test the exploration potential across the 35km2 tenement package in Wyoming\u2019s Powder River Basin, the backbone of the State\u2019s uranium production since the 1970s.<\/p>\n<p>The staking of 28 additional claims in December was undertaken to cover extensions of interpreted trends as defined by the acquired historical database and the company is now evaluating how the new claims and data might impact the exploration target for the property in upcoming drilling.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>New appointment to lead ISR uranium growth and development<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>To further assist GTR with its exploration plans in 2024, the company has appointed Matt Hartmann \u2013 an experienced ISR uranium executive leader \u2013 to oversee the technical and commercial activities in the US.<\/p>\n<p>Hartmann has 20 years of global mineral exploration, project development and commercial experience, as well as a significant track record in ISR uranium through the entire project life cycle.<\/p>\n<p>His experience includes senior technical roles with Uranium Resources Inc and Strathmore Minerals Corp and was also a principal consultant with SRK.<\/p>\n<p>He previously provided technical &amp; managerial expertise to several ISR uranium projects including, Cameco\u2019s Smith Ranch\u2013Highland, Encore\u2019s Rosita central processing plant &amp; wellfield, Laramide\u2019s Churchrock and Encore\u2019s Dewey-Burdock<\/p>\n<p>Most recently, Mr. Hartmann was the V.P. Technical Services for Sweetwater Royalties LLC, and a member of the founding leadership team.\u00a0 Sweetwater Royalties LLC is an industrial mineral and base metals royalty company, the largest private landowner in the State of Wyoming, and currently the largest investment of Orion Mine Finance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>\u2018A great fit for GTI\u2019 <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>\u201cMatt\u2019s skills and experience, particularly with ISR uranium in Wyoming, are a great fit for GTI as we look to accelerate the growth and development of our Wyoming ISR uranium resources,\u201d Lane says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have no doubt that Matt\u2019s experience, skills and network in both the technical and commercial arenas will contribute very positively to our efforts to grow GTI into a significant US uranium company.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hartmann says he is excited to be joining GTR to lead the company\u2019s US operations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cActivity in the uranium sector has increased significantly over the past year and the US is poised to return to meaningful uranium production in the near-term,\u201d Hartmann says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGTI\u2019s projects are extremely well located within 100 miles of seven permitted ISR uranium facilities in Wyoming which is a very supportive state with a long history of uranium production.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>\u2018Undervalued\u2019 in the current uranium market <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Over the past three years, Hartmann says GTI has assembled a portfolio of compelling uranium projects that suggest the company is \u201cundervalued\u201d in the current US$100\/lb uranium market.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look forward to further developing GTI\u2019s assets in the US and advancing the Lo Herma project towards a preliminary economic assessment,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was developed in collaboration with GTI Energy, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This article does not constitute financial product advice.
