One of 2023\u2019s best performing stocks<\/a> Viridis (ASX:VMM)<\/a> has started the new year at pace, announcing a \u201cbreakthrough discovery\u201d at its Colossus ionic clay rare earths project in Brazil.<\/p>\n

First drill results from Cap\u00e3o da On\u00e7a are the highest grades reported at Colossus to date, and include 7m @ 8,277ppm, ending in mineralisation, from 1m depth.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, battered boron-lithium stock 5E Advanced Materials (ASX:5EA)<\/a> has started mining at its Americas Complex with the start-up of the wellfield injection process.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 5E team has been resilient through the construction process, navigating several challenges and ultimately bringing our facility on-line,\u201d CEO Susan Brennan says.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe look forward to 2024 as we continue advancing our vision as we now become the newest domestic producer of boric acid and lithium carbonate.\u201d<\/p>\n
