{"id":3457,"date":"2023-12-19T04:42:29","date_gmt":"2023-12-19T04:42:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=3457"},"modified":"2023-12-19T04:42:29","modified_gmt":"2023-12-19T04:42:29","slug":"were-about-to-find-just-out-how-prospective-summit-minerals-phillips-river-project-really-is","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=3457","title":{"rendered":"We\u2019re about to find just out how prospective Summit Minerals\u2019 Phillips River project really is"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Special Report: Critical minerals explorer Summit Minerals has just completed a project-wide geochemical soil sampling for lithium and other elements at its Phillips River project in southwest WA, with high priority targets to be defined for exploration early next year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/summit-minerals-sum\/\"><strong>Summit Minerals\u2019 (ASX:SUM)<\/strong><\/a> 45km2 Phillips River project is just 2.5km southeast of <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/bulletin-resources-bnr\/\"><strong>Bulletin Resources\u2019 (ASX:BNR)<\/strong><\/a> Phillips South lithium discovery and its Ravensthorpe lithium project \u2013 where rock chips returned Li2O grades of up to an impressive 7.04% \u2013 as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/allkem-ake\/\"><strong>Allkem\u2019s (ASX:AKE)<\/strong><\/a> Mt Cattlin lithium mine and processing plant 20km to the north.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Super-sized soil sampling program<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A whopping 727 soil samples and 13 rock chips were collected as part of an ultrafine soils program. Rock chips were taken where outcropping rocks showed anomalies that have now been sent to the lab for analysis.<\/p>\n<p>SUM CEO Gower He says the team are delighted to have commissioned and completed a comprehensive soil sampling program at Phillips River after weather delays.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe recent exploration success of BNR, coupled with the existing lithium resources in the area, has highlighted the prospectivity of the region for multiple commodities, including a suite of critical minerals and lithium,\u201d He says.<\/p>\n<p>Soil and rock chip samples taken across the Phillips River project.
