{"id":3183,"date":"2023-12-14T00:09:09","date_gmt":"2023-12-14T00:09:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=3183"},"modified":"2023-12-14T00:09:09","modified_gmt":"2023-12-14T00:09:09","slug":"new-age-exploration-wraps-up-drilling-on-lithium-targets-at-quartz-hill-in-time-for-christmas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=3183","title":{"rendered":"New Age Exploration wraps up drilling on lithium targets at Quartz Hill in time for Christmas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New Age Exploration competes drilling across LCT pegmatites at Quartz Hill<br \/>\nThe explorer is targeting LCT pegmatites similar to other Central Pilbara spodumene-rich deposits<br \/>\nResults expected in early 2024 <\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> New Age Exploration has reached the end of its 21-hole shallow RC drilling program, testing multiple lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) pegmatite targets similar to other spodumene-rich deposits in the area such as Wodgina, Pilgangoora and Andover. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The primary objective of <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/new-age-exploration-nae\/\">New Age Exploration\u2019s (ASX:NAE)<\/a> shallow reverse circulation (RC) drilling program was to test key sites identified as high priority due to indications of lithium across the Quartz Hill project.<\/p>\n<p>Given the exploration success of key players in the Central Pilbara region \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/mineral-resources-min\/\">Mineral Resources (ASX:MIN)<\/a> with its Wodgina mine and <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/pilbara-minerals-pls\/\">Pilbara Minerals (ASX:PLS)<\/a> with its Pilgangoora operation \u2013 NAE has been chasing targets with similar characteristics, especially ones below cover in target areas of lithium anomalism detected in soil samples.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>New Age Exploration\u2019s Central Pilbara projects showing adjacent prospects. Pic via New Age Exploration<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>NAE says several of these target areas lie on the margins of the Mungarinya Monzogranite within the surrounding Cheearra Monzogranite and boast lithium concentrations in excess of 100ppm.<\/p>\n<p>Given the tenor of the anomalies, shallow cover and their geological setting further investigation is clearly warranted.<\/p>\n<p>Alongside the drilling operations, a passive seismic survey using Horizontal-to-Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) technology was carried out to gain a better understanding of the depth of the cover to bedrock and other subterranean features.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Results expected in early \u201924 <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>NAE executive director Joshua Wellisch says the company is thrilled to have completed initial drilling at Quartz Hill.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe program\u2019s safe and efficient execution reflects the exceptional capabilities of our technical team, and we are eagerly looking forward to receiving the assay results, which are anticipated in early 2024,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was developed in collaboration with New Age Exploration, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This article does not constitute financial product advice.
