Special Report:<\/em> Results of RC drilling carried out in September has highlighted a range of new targets for Golden Mile Resources to chase at the Yuinmery gold project in WA\u2019s Goldfields region, including a fresh discovery at the Pirates Patch prospect. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Golden Mile\u2019s (ASX:G88)<\/a> Yuinmery project sits within Western Australia\u2019s famous Youanmi gold mining district, and just down the road from several high-profile deposits including Rox Resources\u2019 (ASX:RXL)<\/a> 3.2Moz Youanmi gold project and Ramelius Resources\u2019 (ASX:RMS)<\/a> Penny West project.<\/p>\n

The explorer carried out a five-hole reverse circulation (RC) drilling program for a total of 1,085m during September, which confirmed the structurally complex setting of Yuinmery as comprising basalt, dolerite, and ultramafic with moderate to strong hydrothermal alteration.<\/p>\n

This type of setting is known to host gold mineralisation in the region and is typical for WA Archean gold in general.<\/p>\n

Up until now, there had been no RC drilling conducted at the project to test any gold-bearing structures at depth.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Drilling results highlight Yuinmery prospectivity <\/strong><\/h2>\n

With the results from this drilling program now received, a large gold system of around 9km2 has been confirmed, including a strike length of 6km where gold is strongly associated with shearing, veining and sulphide mineralisation.<\/p>\n

Significant intersections include:<\/p>\n

2m at 3.72 g\/t gold from 139, including 1m at 6.38 g\/t gold from 139m;
\n2m at 0.76 g\/t gold from 52m;
\n4m at 0.42 g\/t gold from 20m; and
\n2m at 0.23 g\/t gold from 114m.<\/p>\n

But the best intersection was the new gold discovery at the Pirates Patch prospect, which returned 1m at 6.38 g\/t gold after being tested with a single maiden drill hole.<\/p>\n

The prospect is centred on a high amplitude gold soil anomaly with an aerial extent of 800m by 400m and a peak value of 300ppb gold.<\/p>\n

G88 says this strong enrichment sits within a broader 1.3km striking gold anomaly that trends northeast \u2013 this trend is coincident with a magnetic lineament interpreted as a splay structure of the larger scale Yuinmery Fault and is an ideal setting to host primary gold mineralisation.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Yuinmery \u2018continues to impress\u2019 <\/strong><\/h2>\n

\u201cThis recent program has confirmed the extensive gold setting at Yuinmery, which continues to impress as a highly prospective gold project with numerous targets for further exploration work,\u201d G88 managing director Damon Dormer says.<\/p>\n

Planned follow-up work programs include field verification of the new anomalies with local geological mapping.<\/p>\n

A 100m by 50m geochemical soil sampling program will also take place to infill and extend gold anomalies and progress the search for new targets within the project.<\/p>\n

G88 will also carry out more lithological and structural mapping to improve the understanding of the structural controls on gold mineralisation as well as rank and drill test the highest priority anomalies.<\/p>\n
