{"id":2848,"date":"2023-12-07T02:11:32","date_gmt":"2023-12-07T02:11:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=2848"},"modified":"2023-12-07T02:11:32","modified_gmt":"2023-12-07T02:11:32","slug":"kobe-trend-scores-with-2-31pc-lithium-rock-sampling-next-door-to-andover","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=2848","title":{"rendered":"Kobe trend scores with 2.31pc lithium rock sampling next door to Andover"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GreenTech Metals rock chip sampling returns up to 2.31% Li2O at West Pilbara lithium projects<br \/>\nResults confirm continuity of pegmatite hosted lithium mineralisation along 7.5km Kobe trend<br \/>\nMaiden drilling planned to commence this month<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report:<\/em> <\/strong><strong>Infill outcrop sampling and mapping<\/strong> at <strong>GreenTech Metals\u2019 West Pilbara lithium projects in WA have returned up to 2.31% Li2O at the western end of the 7.5km long Kobe trend.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s West Pilbara lithium projects are close to<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/azure-minerals-azs\/\"><strong>Azure Minerals\u2019\u00a0(ASX:AZS)<\/strong><\/a> Andover project, where major shareholder Chilean firm SQM \u2013 one of the world\u2019s largest lithium producers \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/lithium-play-azure-says-yes-to-sqms-revised-cash-offer-that-values-it-at-1-63bn\/\"><strong>put in a massive offer for the Aussie explorer<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>back in October.<\/p>\n<p>GRE\u2019s Northern LCT pegmatite (including the Kobe prospect) sits within the company\u2019s 100%-owned Ruth Well project tenements along 6km of strike where previous rock chip samples returned assay results of up to 1.82% Li2O.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/greentech-metals-gre\/\"><strong>GreenTech Metals (ASX:GRE)<\/strong><\/a> says these new rock chip results further demonstrate the persistence of the lithium mineralisation along the entire Kobe pegmatite trend.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Lithium all along the 7.5km trend<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Notable rock chip sampling assays at the West end of the Kobe trend include:<\/p>\n<p>2.31% Li2O, 25ppm Ta2O5 and 120 ppm Nb2O5 (sample 23GT20-832);<br \/>\n1.72% Li2O, 52ppm Ta2O5 and 118 ppm Nb2O5 (sample 23GT20-797);<br \/>\n1.37% Li2O, 38ppm Ta2O5 and 57 ppm Nb2O5 (sample 23GT20-801);<br \/>\n1.24% Li2O, 23ppm Ta2O5 and 113 ppm Nb2O5 (sample 23GT20-830);<br \/>\n1.23% Li2O, 70ppm Ta2O5 and 81 ppm Nb2O5 (sample 23GT20-804); and<br \/>\n1.20% Li2O, 21ppm Ta2O5 and 92 ppm Nb2O5 (sample 23GT20-835).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExploration work across these key targets within our West Pilbara lithium portfolio continues to yield exceptional results,\u201d executive director Thomas Reddicliffe said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese latest sampling assays continue to demonstrate the continuity of lithium mineralisation along the 7.5km Kobe pegmatite trend.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGreenTech continues to systematically unlock the scale and mineralised potential of its tenements in the West Pilbara region, an address which has quickly become one of the premier global jurisdictions for hard rock lithium exploration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe look forward to reporting regular updates on our exploration progress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Historic soil geochemistry and recently mapped pegmatite swarms highlighting Northern and Southern pegmatite.
