{"id":2620,"date":"2023-12-03T21:52:23","date_gmt":"2023-12-03T21:52:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=2620"},"modified":"2023-12-03T21:52:23","modified_gmt":"2023-12-03T21:52:23","slug":"123-massive-pegmatite-targets-at-james-bay-minerals-aqua-prospect","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=2620","title":{"rendered":"123 massive pegmatite targets at James Bay Minerals\u2019 Aqua prospect"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Aerial surveying has identified an additional 123 pegmatite targets at Aqua<br \/>\nPegmatite is a potential host rock for lithium<br \/>\nExploration at Aero has already identified ~5km field of 32 fractionated, mineralised pegmatites along the same lithium trend as Aqua<br \/>\nKey targets for future exploration campaigns are being planned<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report<\/em><\/strong><strong>: Airborne LiDAR surveying across James Bay Minerals\u2019 La Grande project has found a whopping 123 LCT pegmatite targets at the Aqua prospect.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This latest mapping comes off the back of recent geophysical surveys at Aqua, part of <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/james-bay-minerals-jby\/\"><strong>James Bay Minerals\u2019 (ASX:JBY)<\/strong><\/a> La Grande project in the James Bay lithium precinct in Quebec, Canada, where neighbour ASX: FIN discovered an impressive outcrop of massive spodumene crystals on James Bay Mineral\u2019s Aqua property border.<\/p>\n<p>The 88 km2 Aqua tenements contains over ~10km of deformation zones that are considered highly prospective to contain LCT pegmatites.\u00a0 This same trend has \u00a0ASX: FIN Resources spodumene outcrop on the western property boundary and is along trend of Cancet owned by <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/winsome-resources-wr1\/\"><strong>Winsome Resources (ASX:WR1)<\/strong><\/a> to the east, who have had significant exploration success to date.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>More Aqua prospectivity<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>LiDAR tech has detected an enormous 123 LCT pegmatite targets on the Aqua property.<\/p>\n<p>High-priority targets start just ~200m from neighbour Fin Resources\u2019 (ASX:FIN) spodumene-rich rocks which have returned grades of up to 6.85% Li2O.<\/p>\n<p>The JBY exploration team has examined all the variations in slope and elevation to identify and confirm high-priority areas, as these are some of the key geological features expected of Lithium-Caesium-Tantalum (LCT) pegmatites in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Once structures have been identified utilising LiDAR, JBY says it will overlayed the results onto high-resolution photos where white outcropping is visible to generate key targets.<\/p>\n<p>James Bay exec director Andrew Dornan says the newly generated targets are an exciting development.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOver 120 LCT pegmatite targets have been identified across our Aqua property and given we have the three key geological ingredients for giant LCT lithium-pegmatite deposits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlong with FIN\u2019s spodumene discovery on the border of our property our confidence in the prospectivity at Aqua and the potential for a significant lithium discovery continues to grow.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>JBY tenements with surrounding projects.
