{"id":2443,"date":"2023-11-29T01:43:00","date_gmt":"2023-11-29T01:43:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=2443"},"modified":"2023-11-29T01:43:00","modified_gmt":"2023-11-29T01:43:00","slug":"firetails-data-dive-unveils-new-lithium-targets-at-yalgoo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=2443","title":{"rendered":"Firetail\u2019s data dive unveils new lithium targets at Yalgoo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Remote sensing data has shown lithium-bearing targets at Yalgoo<br \/>\nThe same hyperspectral imaging tech will be used at Dalgaranga to find lithium targets<br \/>\nA drill campaign is planned for next year<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report: <\/em><\/strong><strong>Several new priority targets have been identified at Firetail Resources\u2019 Yalgoo project after a review of remote sensing data highlighted potential lithium-bearing pegmatites.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Yalgoo and Dalgaranga projects in WA\u2019s Mid West are surrounded by several gold operations, yet the region also emerging as a critical minerals district in its own right.<\/p>\n<p>Neighbouring <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/krakatoa-resources-kta\/\"><strong>Krakatoa Resources (ASX:KTA)<\/strong><\/a> is proving up King Tamba as a sizeable rubidium-lithium project, while <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/aldoro-resources-arn\/\"><strong>Aldoro Resources (ASX:ARN)<\/strong><\/a> is exploring for nickel at Area 32.<\/p>\n<p>In June, <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/firetail-resources-ftl\/\"><strong>Firetail Resources (ASX:FTL)<\/strong><\/a> successfully intersected lithium from drilling at its Johnson Well prospect at Yalgoo.<\/p>\n<p>The 589m, 22-hole RC drill program hit LCT pegmatites with a best assay result of 3m @ 0.83% Li2O from 32m in JWRC-0005, including 1m @ 1.16% Li 2O from 34m.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Data reviews complete <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>After review of hyperspectral data additional lithium targets have been identified, with ground truthing consisting of rock chip sampling and mapping is planned.<\/p>\n<p>The targets have been categorised in part according to the geological setting in relation to the typical geological setting and exploration work will target the Priority 1 and Priority 2 targets.<\/p>\n<p>The aim is to identify a fresh set of lithium targets for FTL\u2019s next drill campaign at Yalgoo, pegged for early next year.<\/p>\n<p>Priority targets from hyperspectral data reviews at the Yalgoo tenements.
