Special Report:<\/em><\/strong> Soil sampling at Peregrine Gold\u2019s Pilgangoora North project in WA\u2019s Pilbara region has outlined lithium anomalism over 1km with assays topping up at 1,320 ppm Li2O.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pilgangoora North is just 5km along strike from Pilbara Minerals\u2019 (ASX:PLS)<\/strong><\/a> 414Mt Pilgangoora lithium mine, which produced 620,100t of spodumene concentrate in the 2023 financial year to deliver revenue of $4.1bn and after-tax profit of $2.4bn.<\/p>\n

While there has been limited historical exploration at Pilgangoora North, the project does host numerous lithium occurrences in addition to tin, tantalum, gold and lead, while a sequence of ultramafic rocks has the potential to host nickel and copper.<\/p>\n

Peregrine Gold\u2019s (ASX:PGD)<\/a><\/strong> previous work identified coincident lithium and caesium anomalism\u00a0near outcropping pegmatites in the southern portion of the tenement.<\/p>\n

Infill soil sampling<\/strong><\/a> traced a coherent lithium-caesium anomaly\u00a0over 700m of strike with samples returning up to 613 parts per million (ppm) Li2O and 313ppm caesium.<\/p>\n

Sampling extends main central pegmatite<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Infill and along strike sampling completed in October as a follow-up to reconnaissance soil sampling has now strengthened the main central pegmatite soil anomaly and extended it north and south with lithium anomalism traced over 1km.<\/p>\n

The eastern pegmatite soil anomaly, located east of the central pegmatite zone, also returned anomalous lithium anomalism, is open along strike and can be traced for 400 metres.<\/p>\n

Additionally, pegmatites were observed along strike north and south of the soil sampling area and now extend for 1.3km.<\/p>\n

PGD also completed detailed geological mapping that is being compiled at present and has lodged a program of work for future drilling.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe latest soil sampling programme has confirmed geochemically that the lithium soil anomaly now extends for over 1km,\u201d technical director George Merhi said.<\/p>\n

\u201cGeological mapping has been completed to better understand the relationship between lithological units and to assist drilling in this portion of the tenement.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnce heritage clearance has been obtained and the POW approved, reverse circulation drilling can commence.\u201d<\/p>\n
