Special Report:<\/em> Initial scout prospecting at Pioneer Lithium\u2019s LaGrande project in Quebec\u2019s James Bay region has been completed, resulting in the identification of nine new pegmatites and paving the way for a more expansive exploration campaign next year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pioneer Lithium\u2019s (ASX:PLN<\/strong><\/a>)<\/strong><\/a> largely unexplored 4,688 hectare LaGrande project is surrounded by some of the most exciting lithium discoveries in the James Bay region.<\/p>\n

These include\u00a0Patriot Battery Metals\u2019 (ASX:PMT)\u00a0109.2Mt at 1.42% Li2O Corvette project about 12km to the south and\u00a0Winsome Resources\u2019 (ASX:WR1)\u00a0Cancet discovery 20km to the west.<\/p>\n

PMT\u2019s new discovery at the CV9 pegmatite came after a drill hole intersected ~100m of near-continuous spodumene-bearing pegmatite, reinforcing the district-scale nature of Corvette.<\/p>\n

For PLN, this rather neatly underscores the potential prospectivity of LaGrande, which sits within the western portion of the Upper Archean Frotet-Evans metavolcanic belt.<\/p>\n

First fieldwork sets the stage for further exploration<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The concentrated three-day scout prospecting program \u2014 the very first field work carried out by the company at LaGrande \u2014 has discovered nine pegmatite outcrops across the LaGrande East and West claims.<\/p>\n

Notably, it has also confirmed that existing roads provide good accessibility to both the LaGrande East and West claims, allowing prospecting and mapping works to be carried out using a combination of hiking and all-terrain vehicles.<\/p>\n

In addition, the Riviere property has been found to be accessible by helicopter though accessibility factors and snowfall hampered prospecting efforts at this time.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are pleased to have been able to complete this concentrated 3-day campaign at LaGrande given the weather and logistical challenges,\u201d managing director Clinton Booth said.<\/p>\n

\u201cFieldwork at this time of year is typically significantly hampered by weather and, with snow falling, conditions on the ground were difficult.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe team from Pioneer Lithium and IOS applied a flexible approach to prospecting and scouting activities, and this has allowed us to complete the campaign effectively and obtain valuable information to inform our next fieldwork campaign.\u201d<\/p>\n

Next steps<\/strong><\/h2>\n

PLN is currently planning a comprehensive field work program, which is currently forecast to occur in the summer of 2024.<\/p>\n

Information gathered from the initial prospecting and scouting program will be used to inform the design and implementation of future activities.<\/p>\n
