{"id":2118,"date":"2023-11-23T21:59:02","date_gmt":"2023-11-23T21:59:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=2118"},"modified":"2023-11-23T21:59:02","modified_gmt":"2023-11-23T21:59:02","slug":"longer-thicker-and-deeper-phase-2-drilling-at-woylas-rek-rinti-deposit-confirms-copper-gold-extensions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/economicherald.net\/?p=2118","title":{"rendered":"Longer, thicker and deeper: Phase 2 drilling at Woyla\u2019s Rek Rinti deposit confirms copper-gold extensions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Phase 2 drilling assays confirm the down-dip extension of high-grade gold-silver within the Rek Rinti prospect<br \/>\nDrilling has extended Rek Rinti\u2019s \u2018sweet spot\u2019 by an additional 100m down-dip<br \/>\nPotential for additional, high-grade mineralisation remains open to the southwest<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Special Report: <\/em><\/strong><strong>After uncovering high-grade gold and silver at its Rek Rinti prospect, Far East Gold has now confirmed down-dip extensions within the Pertamina vein and Agam zone across &gt;700m, which includes the bonanza grade results of 81g\/t gold in hole AGM007.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With 242.6km of tenure in Indonesia\u2019s Aceh region, <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/company\/far-east-gold-feg\/\"><strong>Far East Gold\u2019s (ASX:FEG)<\/strong><\/a> 51%-owned Woyla copper-gold project is shaping up to be quite the find, which had seen previous exploration work by majors Barrick Gold and Newcrest Mining.<\/p>\n<p>However, the company managed to one-up both of the big players by securing approval to carry out advanced exploration activities \u2013 including drilling \u2013 at the project.<\/p>\n<p>This has paid off in spades with high-grade intercepts of up to 81g\/t gold and 1,359g\/t silver intersected recently at Rek Rinti\u2019s Pertama Vein, which is <a href=\"https:\/\/stockhead.com.au\/resources\/far-east-drills-into-another-high-grade-gold-silver-sweet-spot-at-woyla-one-of-se-asias-most-exciting-exploration-projects\/\"><strong>shown to be highly mineralised<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The interpreted Pertamina vein and cross sections from exploration drilling. Pic supplied: (FEG)<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Assays confirm Rek Rinti\u2019s \u2018sweet spot\u2019<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Longer, thicker and deeper mineralisation has now been discovered from Phase 2 drilling assays at Rek Rinti, extending the \u2018sweet spot\u2019 zone of high-grade gold and silver mineralisation identified in drill holes RRD019 and RRD020 by an additional 100m down-dip within the Pertama vein.<\/p>\n<p>Best results include:<\/p>\n<p>1.7m @ 4.74g\/t gold and 53.82g\/t silver from 78-79.7m; including 0.4m @ 15.93g\/t gold, 108g\/t silver from 79.3m in RRD027<br \/>\n2.2m @ 7.44g\/t gold and 40.6g\/t silver from 103.2-105.4m; including 0.7m @ 14.27g\/t gold, 87g\/t silver from 104.7-105.4m in RRD028<\/p>\n<p>These have indicated ~150m of vertical extension of the high-grade mineralisation and the potential for additional intersections as they remain open to the southwest.<\/p>\n<p>Other targets recently tested as part of Phase 2 include an IP chargeable geophysical anomaly in the northwest area of the prospect which has been tested in holes RRD024 and RRD025.<\/p>\n<p>FEG is continuing to evaluate areas of low magnetics along the trend of known veins at depth and along strike.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n<p><span class=\"mce_SELRES_start\">\ufeff<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article was developed in collaboration with Far East Gold, a Stockhead advertiser at the time of publishing.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>This article does not constitute financial product advice.
