Special Report:<\/em> Uvre sets out to test the significant number of outcropping pegmatites across the newly secured South Path hard rock lithium project in Wyoming, an area known to host pegmatite swarms up to several hundred metres long. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Uvre (ASX:UVA)<\/a> has moved quickly to get boots on the ground and begin the first phase of exploration work at the South Pass lithium project in Wyoming, USA after recently securing the project.<\/p>\n

UVA has a first mover advantage as one of the only two known ASX listed companies currently actively exploration for hard lithium in the State of Wyoming, the other being Chariot Corporation (ASX:CC9).<\/a><\/p>\n

Lithium minerals such as spodumene and lepidolite have been reported historically within the South Pass project by gold geologists and through regional multi element chemical sampling.<\/p>\n

Work conducted by the United States Geological Survey (USGS) demonstrated the early-stage, highly prospective potential of South Pass after identifying outcropping pegmatites and dykes that occur in large swarms.<\/p>\n

But besides from this, there has been little prior recorded systematic exploration for LCT pegmatites in the South Pass area.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Reconnaissance mapping begins <\/strong><\/h2>\n

UVA is now following up this work with its own exploration, starting with reconnaissance mapping of these very same outcropping pegmatites to collect rock chip and soil samples to see if they contain lithium-caesium-tantalum (LCT) potential.<\/p>\n

This program will pave the way for more detailed follow up exploration next year.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s exciting to get boots on the ground to begin the first phase of exploration so quickly after securing the South Pass lithium project,\u201d UVA managing director Peter Woods says.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is testament to the Uvre team and shows the benefits of having a geological team already in country and a project located in close vicinity to the existing uranium project in Utah.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

What\u2019s next? <\/strong><\/h2>\n

UVA believes the significant number of outcropping pegmatites have the potential to be fertile for lithium mineralisation and eagerly awaits the results as the field program progresses.<\/p>\n

The company notes that on ground exploration activities may soon be restricted over the northern hemisphere winter months due to snow cover at South Pass.<\/p>\n
